What Patients Say
Patient Testimonials
“Leigh is fantastic, listens to and is right on top of everything. Stephanie in the front is sweet, and Azra, the MA, is very professional and efficient. Everybody is pretty nice there. One thing: if you want to get through by phone, it is almost impossible, but it is not the office's fault! So don't yell at them!”

“James isn't very talkative. Which is ok. He is caring and kind. He gets to know what your needs are and does what he can to help. The nurses here are top of the game! Always on point and ready! They are busy bees to so it's good to them on point.”

“Patient care is the least of their concerns. Read till the end. They won't return phone calls. I've called twice because I never got the text saying my doctor submitted my prescription to the pharmacy like I usually get and I also wanted to be sure that my referral was submitted since it didn't seem anything was done that was discussed at my visit. It always goes to voicemail saying to leave a message and they will call you back, but they never do. I begged and pleaded in the message I left for a return call the second time I called in because otherwise I have to try to drive down there to get the answers and I am in so much pain that's hard to do. Still no return call. It's absolutely inexcusable that they can't return a call to let me know if those two issues were done or not. I shouldn't have to drive down to get answers for my PAIN MANAGMENT when I'm in PAIN and I don't have one of my prescriptions now to help manage it. Same goes for if your pain management doctor calls you and says they have some questions to ask before they can submit for a procedure so please call them back. There is NO WAY TO DO THAT. I can call and call and call leaving multiple messages with the medical staff and NO ONE will let the doctor know. It's ridiculous. If being able to return your doctors call is important to you, then find another place. If getting a response about your medications is important to you, find another place. Additionally, James and Dr Kaplan will NOT a listen to you. Women, be prepared to be talked over, your pain dismissed and be gaslit about conversations you had with them. He put in for injections a month goes by I hear nothing I go into ask about it and they said that oh it never required approval and I could've scheduled the injection anytime. But they never bothered to tell me this! Additionally, he said he would put in for a referral to an ankle specialist to deal with my ankle pain, but then on my next appointment, he says that that conversation never happened and he refuses to treat my ankle. It is so exhausting having men in the medical field treat women like they don't matter. Additionally, they REFUSE to treat any pain related to a car accident, they will only treat pain that was caused by yourself because if they treat a car accident they will and I quote "have to be subpoenaed and they will blow your case"! What kind of a pain management company will refuse to treat pain from a car accident because they know that they are too incompetent to be put on the stand? At the same time I'm being told that I can only get medication from one doctor (them) but what if I go to an ankle specialist or podiatrist and he puts me on a medication for my ankle or broken toe? Yeah, they like to paint you into a corner then lecture you on seeing too many doctors. That was the final straw and I had to leave. Luckily my insurance changed so I have options where as my previous insurance only used this place. Go anywhere else if you have the choice. Anywhere.”

“If you're okay with getting whatever procedure Jim shoves down your throat without ever having seen or spoken to a doctor about said procedure, then this is the place for you! Whenever you say no to whatever procedure Jim is pressuring you to get, he interrupts you so that he can berate and belittle you. He gets mad, irritated, and frustrated when you ask questions and pressures and bullies you when you decline. Because I could not get any procedures done (due to another, unrelated condition), I was informed that I had to find another provider, NVCPC would no longer continue to refill my meds. I had been going there for YEARS. For years, they/Jim refilled my prescription medications every month, with absolutely no problems. It wasn't until after I had a telemed appointment with Dr. Coppel, who asked Jim why I'd been going there for all those years and never had any procedures done, that Jim all of a sudden started to shove procedures down my throat. Three or four months later, because I couldn't get any procedures done, I was told I had to leave.”
