Patient Testimonials

What a disgusting man. Dr. Sherman possesses 0 bedside manner and carries himself with an arrogance that is almost comical. My appointment was to address chronic low back pain I have suffered since 2022. Whilst I was initially booking my appointment I was told there was no need to bring medical records or imaging as the almighty lord Sherman could look them up in the system. Not only was I literally scolded but I was told how inconvenient and how he now has to go on a "hunt" for my records to "figure out what to do with me". The icing on the cake was how the entire visit was him reviewing the national prescription monitoring data base and loudly stating the medications I have been prescribed (loud enough for other patients to hear...he's violating HIPAA, that alone is a red flag. As he reads he locates a recent prescription for adderall I filled and boasted "well I see you're on some amphetamines" as he continues reading he locates an old prescription for Xanax (0.5mg quantity of 4) that was prescribed to me in 2023 for my fear of flying, and he loudly mockingly states "oh and you're on downers! WOW some uppers and downers" no you fool, I am on a stimulant medication for my mental health and I have flight anxiety. Either way, this absolute abhorrent behavior was blatant and deliberate defamation of my character both as a patient and more seriously as a professional in the medical field. As a private pharmaceutical analyst for a prominent non profit organization, Sherman's loud boasting of my "uppers and downers" can place my employment at risk as you never know who the other patients and individuals hearing this are. For this reason I have had to take time out of my schedule to contact my family attorney for legal assistance on protecting my reputation and maintaining confidentiality as well as what actions to take. Sherman's purposeful defamation of my integrity, dismissal of my needs, delayed my treatment and even caused some new symptoms. This screams malpractice. I feel a genuine apology with accountability is in order Sherman. And for prospective new patients, heed my review and find another provider you'll thank me.

Dr Sherman and his staff were awesome. They treated me with compassion and care. They were extremely helpful, offering me advice on how to manage my pain. I would recommend Dr Sherman to anyone needing relief from their chronic pain.

I have Been with National Pain since around 2011, but I recently transferred to the Orlando office. Dr. Sherman is professional and extremely knowledgeable. My last visit I had my husband come with me, and Dr. Sherman Explained everything that is going on with me as if he had read my mind. Dr. Sherman's sensitivity and compassion for his patients helps him to understand us and he has guided me to the right treatments that work best for me. His Staff: Michael, Vanessa, Kiki, and Hans Are amazing, they too are professional and knowledgeable and work quickly to help with any of my needs. I will be a patient at Dr. Sherman's office for many years to come.

Dr. Sherman and his staff are wonderful! I started with this practice in December of 2021. I had recently moved to Florida and was not happy about leaving my pain doctor in Georgia. I was referred to Dr. Sherman and found that on my first appointment he was very thorough and spent quite a bit of time reviewing my charts with me. He and his staff quickly hooked me up with the St. Jude's Rep in the area for my implant and we started a journey TOGETHER! After a couple of years, Dr. Sherman and I discussed the idea of implanting a device to administer pain meds directly into my spine. After a couple of discussions, the process began and I started titrating down from my current dosage of pain meds (which was extremely high). As we were nearing the process of being able to do the trial for the device, I learned I would have to have a total knee replacement which halted moving toward the trial. At this time, I was on the lowest amount of pain medication that I had been prescribed since 2010. After my knee surgery, I was on more pain meds than I had ever been on in my life and when I returned to the practice, Dr. Sherman worked with me to return back to my normal doses of medication. It took a couple months and my drive to "get off the meds" that brought me to where I am today. After my pain medication was returned to the level just prior to my trial, it was decided that I would not need to proceed with the pain pump implant. I no longer needed that kind of control. So, now I am back down to the lowest amount of pain meds I have ever taken since my original back surgery was performed. I accredit this to Dr. Sherman and his staff. While not every day is "coming up roses" I can say that I feel better and am more active than I have ever been even after 4 back surgeries, a neurostimulator implant, 2 SI Joint Fusions, 1 Knee Replacement, and one Knee cleanout. I encourage patients to go in and speak with Dr. Sherman and take to heart what he is saying to you. Ask questions and research your options because I can promise you that this man will be honest and truthful with you even if the discussion is a hard one to have. His staff are always friendly and welcoming and I can promise you that even though they run a tight ship...they are there to support your needs each and every day!
