National Spine & Pain Centers (NSPC) is one of the nation's largest pain management practices in the United States. Formed in 2011 with a re-brand of The Spine Center - NSPC quickly expanded, partnering with Capitol Spine & Pain in 2012. We strive to bring high quality providers in the specialty of pain management together to offer an extensive network to meet the needs of an ever growing population of patients living in chronic pain. In late 2012 our affiliations grew with the addition of New York Pain Physicians (now New York Spine & Pain Physicians), bringing our number of centers to over 60 with close to 100 providers in D.C., Maryland, New Jersey, North Carolina, New York, Virginia and West Virginia.

Patient Testimonials
“I have had 5 back surgeries the past 3 years. I'm still in a lot of pain. My insurance company is being difficult on approving the medicine I need and the staff has been great at fighting for. They care about you and listen to you when it cones to pain management. But just giving you the proper treatment but also in trying to figure out why you are hurting everyday. I RECOMMEND to anyone I talk to about pain Thank you Meloney”

“I have been seeing the team of doctors here for some time. They have helped me manage my pain beyond what was thought possible through medication and procedures. Where other doctors told me there was nothing to alleviate the pain in my knees and surgery wasn't an option, they treated through RF ablation. When I wanted to avoid lumbar surgery, it was treated with physical therapy and RF ablation. When I could reach my fibro doctor, they took over the pain management and made it easier to stay on a course of treatment. When I asked about a new treatment possibility (low dose naltrexone) they listened carefully and tried it (it helps greatly). When their techniques couldn't handle the pain from my C6C7 issue, they referred me to an amazing surgeon. The relationship I have built with the team at Manassas location has given me so much back to me and my family. I am so thankful for them.”

“At my first visit to treat the arthritis pain in my lower Dr. Hassassian listened closely to my recent pain management history at another National Spine & Pain practice which was not successful. After a thorough discussion of my symptoms and health history Dr. Hassassian immediately developed a plan of treatment which adjusted my medicine regime and added cool laser treatment sessions to reduce inflammation. He also identified future assessments which could be implemented based on the medication and laser results. Dr. Hassassian and his team took my pain seriously and were focused on treatment beyond pills and more pills to improve the quality of my life. Dr. Hassassian and his team were highly recommended to me and I would recommend them for the treatment of back pain.”

“We were the patients of Dr. Kendall, the National Spine and Pain Center, McLean. who is an excellent physician and human being; however, in subsequent appointments, a male front desk staffer gave us an extremely hard time that forced us to seek the help of Dr. Hassassian for the pain management of my wife without fully understanding him, his staff, and practices. It had been an extremely horrible experience of seeking help for pain management as the front desk and clinical staff including Dr. Hassassian and the Nurse Practitioner (NP) are horrible human beings having no courtesy, consideration, and cooperation. Dr. Hassassian, in our assessment, considered my wife only as a money minting machine rather than as a patient who needed his help for her pain management. His interest was to have follow up, follow up, follow up, follow up, and follow up .......... appointments whether the appointments were needed or not since some of these appointments lasted less than a couple of minutes absolutely without providing any insight of the problem or its cure; however, he continued to schedule multiple pain injections and follow-up appointments. Whenever my wife said that there was no relief in pain, he and her NP repeatedly told her that the treatment had not started yet. It was a horrible experience to be his patient. It was probably our bad luck and bad decision to select him as a pain management physician.”
