What Patients Say
Patient Testimonials
“After being a patient of Dr. Gu for over 20 years I had to cancel my appointment the day before it was scheduled. Office did not follow up and get my authorization and/or arrange a peer-to-peer review as Anthem requested. Told to speak to Erika, and when I said I didn't think she was concerned about my pain, she hung up on me. Going to see children and can hardly walk. Office staff seems confused often.”
— Marjorie Beaudry
“I have been going here for years. I have seen Dr. Gu for injections and saw Steven Brewer for several years. They were both great though Brewer is no longer there. I now see Nasim and she is great as well. I have never felt rushed through an appointment and have always felt heard. The staff is always nice and "Debbie" at front desk is always very nice and courteous. I am usually seen within 10 minutes of my appointment. I have never had a problem getting through to them via the phone. Never had a mix up with my meds and they are always sent right away to my pharmacy. I would highly recommend this clinic.”
— Sharon Crockett
“The office staff is nasty except on one lady. I've been going 30 and they constantly make your dates over 30 days and staff is rude disrespectful. Dr Gu great doctor but rest of staff has no idea what there doing. And staff always hangs on me”
— Michele Ayers
“From day one Dr. Gu listened to every word I said and every pain I had been having for so many years. He understood my pain and showed that he truly cared for me. I've been to so many Orthopedic doctors since 1990 and all they mentioned was surgery and hip replacement, which isn't an option at my age. The next 15 years or so that I have left is not going to be trying to walk again for 5 of those years plus Knee replacement. Dr.Gu has never said I have to have surgery. It's these Drs. in their 30's that need a boat payment. I LOVE my Dr. Gu and his nurse. If you have a problem understanding him, slow down and listen. It's as simple as that. Things have drastically changed since this review. I haven't got time right now but I'll definitely finish this later, nothing to do with Dr. Gu. I don't think he knows how other employees treat patients that aren't wealthy, perhaps vulnerable. The other employee... I'm working on a report and I'll update when I'm finished. I am gathering proof that I was accused of from my doctor and I plan to present it to Dr. Gu. This NP needs to be held accountable because she made accusations against the wrong person. She's on some kind of ego trip and should be brought down to a minimum level. A year has passed and I'm still in pain. Idk why Dr. Gu keeps telling me to make another appointment when his shots are NOT working. Same for my sister and my friend that sees him. I have concluded that National Spine and Pain Center is nothing but a money pit. My sister needed a very serious surgery on her neck and spine, she's out of pain now...I have to wonder why Dr. Gu didn't just be honest with her and politely tell her that he couldn't do anything more for her. Instead, he kept taking her money month after month after month.”
