Patient Testimonials

The hospital and care I received at Mt. Sinai / Beth Israel Pain and Palliative Care Center was almost as good as the one I'm being treated at now with one major difference... location and parking. Navigating to this location has always been a challenge, regardless of transportation. Whether driving or using public transit, I consistently faced delays and missed appointments due to the unpredictable travel times. These 50-60 minute trips often took 2-3 hours, significantly impacting my punctuality. My doctor, Dr. Benjamin H. Natelson, has been incredibly understanding of my condition, which causes cognitive difficulties. He consistently accommodated my challenges, patiently waiting or rescheduling appointments. His support extended beyond simply waiting - he provided detailed, step-by-step directions over the phone and even personally escorted me to the correct subway entrance. Dr. Natelson's dedication has been invaluable. I've been his patient since 1994, following him from UMDNJ in Newark to Mt. Sinai Beth Israel and now to their uptown location. This new location offers significantly improved accessibility, regardless of transportation method. The availability of valet parking at Mt. Sinai is a major relief, eliminating the stress of finding parking and further minimizing the risk of late arrivals. This is especially beneficial after a long drive without any unforeseen delays.

The worst hospital ever. I schedule an appointment for pelvic ultrasound.I asked in advance how long is the wait time and was told there are 4 technicians so it will only take 15 minutes I also was told to come "ready" meaning with fool bladder. I had 8 glasses of water and was put on hold for an hour. When I said I CANT WAIT any longer I was told that it is my problem, they have 4 more people before me and cant do anything but I am welcome to complain. When I asked for a manager I was told she/he is not available, so I left. Not only I had to take an extended lunch and didn't accomplish anything and had to commute when its 95 F outside taking subway underground in this heat and spending $5 for nothing but waiting more than an hour after having 8 glasses of water was a torture! The worst service ever! Stay away!!!!!
