Patient Testimonials

I was in an auto accident and my back was not getting better. I am so thankful I found Dr Kroopf, her approach to focus on healing and getting me better vs traditional just want to put you on meds. The PRP treatment she performs is a mircle, I had never heard of this and the ability to use your own body to enchance healing was amazing. I went from everytime i moved hurting to going back like the accident never occured. I can not say enough! If you are like me and are not interested in drugs and pills this is th eplace to be. A Dr whose concern is you actually gettting better and your over all well being.

I'm very active. I ski, mountain bike, and do intensive workouts, so staying strong and injury-free is a big priority for me. Over the years, I've seen Dr. Kroopf for various different injuries. One of the most significant was a gastrocnemius tear that she treated with PRP, and I healed beautifully. Recently I've been dealing with severe knee pain and swelling. I had surgery less than a year ago and I was hoping that would be the end of this knee issue. I went to Dr. K because I felt at a loss and wanted an unbiased, holistic view of all my treatment options. Dr K spent a significant amount of time reviewing my MRI with me and explaining exactly what was going onI appreciated how thorough she was and how much she clearly cared about helping me recover. She was patient and empathetic and understood my goals of getting back to my usual activity level as soon as possible. After reviewing various options and possibilities, we came up with a clear treatment plan, and I feel really confident and most of all, relieved, moving forward. As a medical doctor myself, I can honestly say I wouldn't go anywhere else on the Monterey Peninsula. Even though I don't live in the area full-time, I keep coming back here because the care is that good! Dr. Kroopf is knowledgeable, approachable and really understands how important it is for me to be healthy and stay active. She is very thorough and and excellent clinician. Her physical exam and functional anatomy knowledge, as well as knowledge of current treatment options is beyond impressive. She is always striving to improve her practice, researching the most current options for the best patient care. Her treatments focus on actually helping my body heal itself, not just masking pain. I highly recommend Dr. Kroopf.

I believe Dr. Kroopf is well-intentioned and is a good doctor. However, a few words of warning: 1) the office is much more interested in selling you their spa treatments and supplements - they will sell you a spa membership. 2) if you're in so much pain (which I was), you'll say yes to anything. 3) is the membership worth it? Do your research - not all pain can be addressed through infrared saunas, leg compression or hyperbaric chambers. 4) if you ask for your membership not to be renewed (they renew automatically every month), they will not make it easy for you to do so. They will say, "I will need to talk to the higher ups." That makes no sense - who are these "higher ups"? Do they mean customer support or billing? You may end up asking your bank to identify the charge as a fraudulent charge. Overall, mediocre product. I'll finish my current points but am very unlikely to renew because of the way they've dealt with my request not to auto-renew. If this is a spa membership, it should be like any spa membership - I should be able to cancel anytime. If they have an app, cancellation should be done via the app. To hold my credit card hostage is bad business practice - I'm pretty sure it's not legal. Also, by the time they informed me that my insurance approved my injection, the approval already expired. Super inefficient back-office operations. So net-net: doc is perhaps good (maybe - I've only talked to her once for 15 minutes), service is very bad. Hope this helps!

I have been coming to MPSW for 2mos. I walked in with pain on my left knee due to a fall. Each time I leave the office my pain is reduced, love the treatment plan they made for me leg compresses, infrared sauna and just started the water therapy. I would highly recommend them for pain management. Dr. Lisa Kroopf is very professional and the staff is awesome and very helpful.
