“I had lumbar spinal stenosis with pain in my buttocks and back of upper thighs for 6 months. Tried conservative approaches to try and alleviate the condition with no success. This included drugs, cortisone shots, chiropractor treatments and physical therapy. I was introduced to MN Spine by the chiropractor I was seeing. I had a teleconference with Dr. Hanson who had my MRI's and was able to tell me how he would use a minimally invasive procedure to remove the bone spurs compressing my nerves and causing me the pain. I had talked to a couple of other surgeons who wanted to perform 1- 2 fusions, and remove bone spurs. This would entail cutting me open from the front and moving my aorta and then cutting me open from the back. 5-6 hours with 6-month recovery. Dr. Hanson assured me that would not be necessary. Procedure was 1 hour with estimated 6-week recovery. I am in week two and feel almost 100%. Cannot praise Dr. Hanson and his staff enough. Had another surgeon who had previously performed back surgery look over Dr. Hanson's background. He told me that Dr. Hanson was very well trained and not to give a second thought in using him. Procedure was done at Burnsville Surgery Center and this is a top-class facility. I would echo the same sentiments as the surgeon who told me to not have second thoughts in using Dr. Hanson. Excellent job with fantastic results. Jackie, his assistant was also excellent. Communication is great, Dr. Hanson provides his personal cell phone number for questions/concerns. Never heard of another Doctor that does that. He listens to your questions /concerns and takes the time to address them.”
