What Patients Say
Patient Testimonials
“My experience with Dr Shah and his department was very poor. The injection was the worst pain I've ever experienced. I had a shooting lightening bolt of pain from my butt to my ankle when he put the spinal needle in. Prior to having this injection my pain was only to my knee, now the pain is to my ankle. I left in a wheelchair as I was unable to walk. 2 1/2 months later this experience is still traumatic to me.”
— Nicole Trewyn
“Dr Shah is one of the most compassionate Dr's. I've ever had. He listens, understands what I'm telling him. He has taken the time after my procedures to explain what was done and asks me if I have quest. I never feel hurried! The nurses are exceptional!”
— Kati Vogel
“PLEASE READ TO THE END AS MY OPINION HAS CHANGED DUE TO LAST TWO APPOINTMENTS! The staff is very friendly, caring, compassionate, empathetic yet are still very professional. I have always felt I was treated with respect and have always felt listened to. My issues have always been addressed and options for increasing comfort and decreasing pain are always thoroughly explained. I have only had good experiences regardless of wether my appointment has been in person visits or telehealth. They are very thorough at every visit with questions and going over patient health summaries to make sure any changes are up to date. The above is my review from several months ago I had given 5 . My last TWO CONSECUTIVE appointments have changed my review to the current 2. Telehealth had to wait on my Telehealth appointment for OVER 2 hours for Dr. Shah to show up for the 5 minute conversation! Next appointment I had to call to check myself in @ 9:45 for my "scheduled " 10:00 Telehealth appointment because no one called me to check me in! I was then told it would be an hour before he would be available as he had procedures to do ahead of my appointment. I guess my appointment was less important. Perhaps my Telehealth appointment should have been scheduled at 11:00 NOT 10:00. 1 appointment may be a mistake but 2 in a row shame on you! People who are in chronic pain deserve to be treated with RESPECT, COMPASSION, EMPATHY AND KINDNESS! They should NEVER be treated as a "second thought" or "inconvenience" to other treatments. Peoples time is valuable just because we are not medical professionals does not make our time inconsequential. We should not be made to feel that way. This facility need an overhaul and changes need to be made. I am a positive, understanding laid back person however I am now feeling frustrated and disrespected. Please get your s$&t together and treat your patients better. We deserve and expect it!”

“The whole experience was great. Staff excellent. Even though Dr. Shah is a White Sox fan (go Cubs) I found him to be amicable and knowledgable. He's my pain doctor.”
