“After a surgery for a neuro-stimulator, I was told to be followed by a pain management clinic. When I called this clinic, they wanted a referral from my surgeon in Florida. When advised he considered this a violation of HIPA, I was sent to medical records at De Paul to send for records. Advised there, that was the responsibility of the MD's office. Was informed by medical specialists that all my records from Florida and Colorado needed to be in their office before I could get an appointment. A simple look at my thoracic and lumbar MRI's would have assured them of the necessity for the neuro-stimulator. But the unclear procedure, the rudeness, the suspicion with which I was addressed would see me driving to Colorado before ever considering this clinic.”

“Nobody ever answers their phone. The voice mail menus let you believe someone will call you back within 24 to 48 hours. Be advised these are business hours. Example: leave a message at 10AM Thursday , maybe they'll call back between Monday afternoon and probably by Wednesday afternoon. If you thought they would call back the same day, you're setting yourself up for disappointment. The actual medical care is top notch, despite the unrealistic expectations set for you by the misleading prompts in the voice mail system.”
