Dr. Newman is a board-certified anesthesiologist and pain management physician. In 1997, he discontinued the practice of anesthesia to focus solely on pain management. His practice was the first full-time interventional pain management practice in the Tidewater area of Virginia. In 2012, Dr. Newman began performing outpatient ketamine infusions for patients with CRPS who had not responded well to conventional treatments. The results have been nothing short of amazing, and Dr. Newman expanded his practice with the creation of Virginia Ketamine Therapy. This practice is focused on pursuing treatment for CRPS, fibromyalgia, Lyme disease, depression, and other diseases that may benefit from ketamine infusions.
