Patient Testimonials

My first appointment with Dr. Malinowski was earlier this week. I have chronic pain due to a motorcycle accident over a decade ago. Throughout my journey I've seen many physicians and tried many therapies. He didn't disregard any of my symptoms and listened to how I feel my other chronic diseases play a part in my chronic pain. I'm sure my appointment ran him late, but he allowed me the time anyway. That is a good doctor. A good one may run late because of giving to another patient. I was very impressed to have him really look for himself at my actual MRI CD imagery. I felt validated he understood why I feel the way I do. He saw me as a whole person and put sincere thought into my situation. His willingness to learn and be up to date on current techniques is refreshing and appreciated. I can work with a doctor like him. I look forward to it.

Dr. Malinowski did an amazing job not only on my surgery but he's an all around amazing doctor. He cares about his patients takes the time to explains things in a way that won't make you feel stupid or silly for asking him. His staff is so helpful and they are amazing about getting back to you if you have any questions or concerns. I had a spine stimulator put in and the care and attention Dr. Malinowski and his staff gave was outstanding! Definitely highly recommend Dr. Malinowski and his staff.

I do not recommend Dr. Malinowski for several reasons. During the appointment, I felt as if he was listening to me but not hearing what I was actually saying. I am not a typical pain management client as I'm easily 20 years younger than the average client and was seeking assistance to manage a new pain oriented diagnosis. A car ran out in front of me resulting in a car accident and now I have fibromyalgia. He became exceptionally uncomfortable when I got upset/angry after he reviewed previous treatment suggestions post MRI, told me he couldn't change my medication because I have to try them for 3-6 months (which isn't true), and then asked me if I researched any methods of treating fibro. When I get upset/angry I begin crying. He asked if he said anything to result in me crying. Yes- I have a new chronic condition and was told that I have to try and "deal with it" for about 3-6 months when I'm barely functional. Of course I was angry/upset. Then he proceeded to call my primary care doctor and left the office to finish the phone call. I felt like he was verifying if I was crazy- come to find out he didn't know what to do since I was upset/angry with him. Since he was on a phone call, he sent Tonya to check on me who was respectful and very kind. I declined talking to her because there was nothing else to say at that point. She said I was done with my appointment and could leave so I did. Shortly after, I got a message on MyChart stating that he asked Tonya to talk to me while he spoke to my PCP. When he went back to the room to talk to me about their conversation, I had left. He knows that I was frustrated today and hopes I know their office is there for me and my PCP would be reaching back out to me. To say the least, this was an awful experience. Who calls their PCP because their patient starts crying? Absolutely ridiculous....

My name is Heath. I've had neuropathy for seventeen years and about a year ago I seen an ad on Facebook about a spinal stimulator through nevro that would reduce neuropathy pain. I called nevro the next day and they made an appointment for me with Dr. Malinowski. During the consultation a representative from nevro came and explained what the stimulator could do. After the pretesting. The trial stimulator was placed in my back. That night was the first night in years I slept all night without kicking my feet and keeping me awake. I was amazed how much better my feet felt. I did not want them to remove the stimulator because I knew I was going to be in pain again until it was put in permanently. I cannot thank Dr. Malinowski and his staff, and the people with nevro for all of their hard work getting me approved for the procedure. Sincerely, Heath Pettry
