I have intense back pain. hurts to walk. I had a procedure 4 years ago...I think epidural/steroid shot. is that something that you can fix? I dont know where to start now with my insurance

Hi Paul. I'm just one of Dr. Alexander's patients. We both suffer from chronic and intense back pain. If your question was intended for me, I'd recommend 1st call his office and ask if they take your insurance. Depending on your insurance plan, you might need your GP to fax Alexander's office a referral for you. If all goes well, schedule your 1st appointment with Dr. Alexander ASAP. Bring any old MRIs and / or report printouts that you may have. (They may prove to be helpful). Dr. Alexander will possibly need an updated MRI to see where the issue(s) are and to treat your condition effectively. Dr. Alexander and I are in the process of eliminating/reducing pain that radiates down my arm. Today, we're doing a nerve block injection to be certain we've identified the exact problem area. If so, then we will do the steroid injection that will last longer. Depending on how long that lasts, we may schedule an RFA. It can be a process, long term relief is so worth it!

On my follow up visit for my last procedure, I asked him if the treatment I had gone through could help get insurance's approval for a breast reduction. The very first thing he said was "What would your husband say?" I was taken aback by the blatant sexism but tried to laugh it off. However, he proceeded to keep ranting about how my husband would definitely not be okay if I got a reduction and if his wife ever tried to get a reduction, he would leave her. “LAZARO CUETO, NP - HORRIBLE TERRIBLE PHYSICIAN! He did nothing to help my nerve damage condition in my left leg, would not write a prescription for Percocet of 100 tablets which i have been taking to help alleviate the aching, accused me of "Doctor Shopping" as all I want to find is a doctor or NP that understands my constant aching in my leg and does not order me to have another Epidural which I did and it did nothing to ease the aching and actually made my leg weaker! This NP is horrid, never have met anyone so discouraging and awful...even told me to have my Primary Physician write the prescription I need. He says at this LV Spine and Pain Center they only push for surgeries, NOT to write prescriptions! Really? He needs to be disbarred from the Medical field!!”
