What Patients Say
Patient Testimonials
“When I agreed to go to Dr Kowal it was because my other doctor left. I was told he was good at what he does, but that he didn't have the best approach with people. I gave him a shot(no pun intended). One issue I have with a lot of practitioners is that they do not lay a hand on you to examine you or go through any physical exam. Many times they document in their notes what they examined with regard to reflexes, strength etc even though this was not done in visit AND they get paid for this supposed exam! I let all of the above go and continued to see him, But the last straw with Dr kowel was when I got into the injection room and I attempted to explain my symptoms (as I was instructed to by the nurse who I tried to explain them to initially) to him before he injected me. He let out a big sigh and dropped his shoulders. This non verbal behavior told me he did not want me to talk and he just wanted me to get on the table, keep quiet and get rid of me as soon as he could to move the assembly line along! He did not allow the numbing agent any time to work. He shot the medication in so fast and caused significant amount of pain. This injection did not work at all and I was left with same, if not more, pain that I had when I went in, along with a nice big bill! Unfortunately, you can't ask for refund in medical care when you don't get the service you should!”

“Dr kowal is the best he did a block injection in my lower back back in Oct and he has followed up with me closely and now has diagnosed me with a second diagnosis he takes his time and really listens to me to find out what the problem is to cure my pain I am not just another patient to him I feel I am his only patient when I am with him he is professional every time his staff is remarkable I highly recommend them all thank u everyone!!!!”

“I won't say much other than I can relate to the experiences of others with this provider. Meeting with him was a very uncomfortable experience. Aggressive, rude, invalidating, dismissive, disrespectful and terrible bedside manner. Not to mention incredibly unhelpful. I found other reviews that seem to be consistent with my experience so I'm glad I'm not alone. He wrote things about me in my chart that didn't even make sense. And, consistent with the experiences of others, this inaccurate and sometimes downright unusual language will now be in my chart forever. I would encourage people to consider other options for medical providers.”

“I have had the same experience as many of this Dr's reviewers. His notes were not at all a representation of my appointment. No, I did not ask for pain medication, thank goodness my husband was at the appointment to witness that. I was terribly affronted by what he wrote. He offered lyrica to which I had very bad reactions. No help here and I was insulted to boot. Look elsewhere.”
