Ivinson Memorial Hospital - Pain Management in Laramie, Wyoming
Patient Testimonials
“Went to get a yearly mammogram which is covered by my health insurance. I've always gone to a place in Cheyenne and never had any billing issues but Ivinson's schedule was going to work better for my schedule so I decided to go to Ivinson. They refuse to code it as a preventative mammogram so now I have to pay for the whole thing out of pocket. Won't be going here again. I have NEVER had this issue at Cheyenne Radiology. I will be going back to Cheyenne Radiology. To Owner 12/3/2025: I have spent months of emailing, texting, and phone calls with no correction. Just sorry we won't code it as preventative even though it is clearly preventative and Insurance has stated numerous times they will pay you.”

“An over confident ER physician disregard the urine tests that were performed at my daughters pediatricians office with elevated levels for a 2 month old and ignored that fact that her PCP referred us to the ER to be evaluated for an infection and high fevers in a 2 month old. Rather than doing a full work-up they did a PCR swab on my daughter and she of course came back positive for Rhinovirus, FINALLY the ER physician had SOMETHING to link the fevers too, although I stated multiple times she had no respiratory symptoms and that she was having back/flank pain, very lethargic, poor feeding, high fevers, and crying as if bones were broke in her body all signs of neonatal sepsis until labs are performed. After continuously advocating for my daughter, nothing was done and we were sent home. Fortunately our PCP listened to my concerns the following morning and advocated for us once again, doing a FULL work up and ordered blood & urine cultures. Oddly enough those tests that we desperately requested came back for E. coli growth. E. COLI bacteria doubling in a 2 month olds bloodstream. A day later our over confident physician was calling me at 5am to request that we come to the ER as my daughter was in urosepsis and needed IV antibiotics stat. Thankfully we did an IM antibiotic injection at her pediatricians office when we got result that there was a urine infection and bacteria growing. Which this bacteria responded to the antibiotic and saved my daughter's life, it broke her fevers so we knew we had someone what of a positive response. This physicians attitude and perspective on the ER is unless your VISABLY DYING don't come in... because they wouldn't catch it anyway. They would rather send patients home than do a full/thorough work up and let them succumb to their illness. A true disappointment when you need help/EMERGENCY MEDICINE and the people that are supposed to help you fail because they're unwilling to do a their job. Unfortunately this is not the only negative experience I have had due to the lack of care at IMH... not the lack of knowledge. No one is being held accountable, even when reports are made against staff.”

“My husband had a medical emergency while we were visiting friends in Laramie and he was admitted to the hospital. From the time we got there until the time he checked out (4 days later) the staff, nurses and Dr. Lewis were amazing! They took good care of my husband and everyone was professional and caring the whole time. Thank you soooo much for all you did for us! ”

“Jenna in the ER was an amazing provider for my parents as my brother and I were taking care of them. She was kind, explained medical terms in ways we could understand, and was the one who found our dad's cancer. We SO appreciate her!”
