“Office seriously understaffed. Phone calls to scheduler automatically go to voice mail & company states to allow 24 to 48 hours for response. If you miss a return call & no message is left & you have to start the 24 to 48 hour process again. Pain Management should include ease of communication waiting 2 to 3 weeks to schedule an appointment for an established patient is not acceptable.”

“The Office staff is deplorable. Delays in submitting insurance authorizations, lack of concern for patient wellbeing, self focused & extremely unprofessional. Office policy-- they are allowed to hang up on a patient or caller if they believe the caller to be "rude, yelling or screaming" apparently that happens frequently. I'm not surprised because if staff are very defensive during a call, self focused and lack genuine concern, the conversation will escalate. I was hung up on by Shannon, a medical assistant. Today I called to advocate for my wife and express my concerns regarding the delays in services. I called back and received extreme push back from Laura another medical assistant with the same behavior and attitude as Shannon. I left a message several days ago requesting to speak with the office manager, Christi. She is still out of the office. Staff had no idea when she was returning to work. Dr Bonis has not returned my wife's call on 5-12-21 as she is experiencing, new severe pain after a recent outpatient procedure. The cavalier response I received from Laura is she is not responsible if Dr. Bonis hasn't contacted either one of us. Healthcare in Chico and Enloe hospital (monopoly) is over burdened and bursting at the seams. There aren't enough MDs to provide care for our population. Without competition for patient business, there isn't the need to raise the bar or even strive to raise the bar. Deplorable patient care and lack of concern is the norm. As a RN I am ashamed of how patients are treated by health care facilities in Butte County and that's why I no longer work in the area. My wife has completely lost trust, faith and confidence with this practice. Lori is returning to Dr. Shawn Furst for interventional pain management despite the fact his office is out of network with her new insurance provider. We are willing to pay the $2000 out of pocket expense to ensure she receives appropriate and compassionate care.”

“Dr. Diya was a great, understanding Doc. NP Sara was also great but they are no longer available. Dr. Z. Lipman needs to know the simple fact .. a patient should not be blocked from sched.refill. ON Time! Not after meds run out and taken as prescribed!!!!”
