Patient Testimonials

My first appointment was awesome, I was very early and they got me in and out before my actual appointment. Dr Casandra Mysior is awesome, her staff is awesome, professional and caring. I had a nerve block done and it was basically painless. The quality of care and service here is well above board. I was seeing a pain clinic here in Plattsburgh but had to go to Vermont to get proper care, and I'm telling you that I am glad I did. Don't wait for problems to get bad, transfer all of your pain needs to UVM pain management immediately. You will enjoy your appointments a lot more if you see the Drs at Tilley Drive, Burlington.

Dr Zhu made the process more confusing, raising her voice when I struggled to answer her questions (I am autistic and it's noted in my chart) and she misgendered me calling me ma'am (even tho it is noted on my chart I am transgender). I don't think she read anything in my chart except notes from a psych stay when I was suicidal during my Ehlers Danlos diagnosis odyssey because no one believed me. In her notes she wrote she checked the range of motion but didn't say of what, and she didn't check range of motion of anything. She touched me lightly on the back of my neck for 12 seconds and called that an exam and in the notes wrote she had a difficult time getting me to explain my pain. I switched to another provider at that place but I'm not holding my breath . Dr Zhu forgot the compassion part of medicine I guess. She just seemed angry and annoyed to be at work and too impatient for an anxious autistic patient to explain their issue.

I am extremely dissatisfied with this practice! My father is in terrible pain from peripheral neuropathy and was told 1 year ago that a spinal cord stimulator might really help him. We agreed and it has been a nightmare for a year just trying to get them to put in the trial. Absolutely unbelievable how uncaring this practice is about a patient's chronic pain. There is absolutely no sense of responsibility or urgency to manage my father's pain. To string an old man along for a year, promising him that he will get a spinal cord stimulator trial and then to cancel twice on him, is awful. Not only did they cancel, but they cancelled both times very close to the appointment. In fact, they confirmed 2 days prior and then cancelled the day before. The reason they gave was unacceptable. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. Very sad. I am giving one star because I cannot give zero stars to post this comment.

WOW, possibly the most useless doctor's appointment I've ever been to. I first started suffering from chronic pain four years ago, after a bout of serious depression. When I visited the pain clinic, they told me to come back when I had "dealt with" my psychological issues. When I arrived at my appointment yesterday (which I had to BEG them to give me--they apparently refuse to treat patients with psychiatric problems--discrimination, much?), and Dr. Brauner was rude and extremely dismissive from the moment he entered the room. He refused to do any diagnostics or other examinations, and he told me I should take so much Gabapentin (a relative of Xanax, that helps with neuropathic pain) that I was groggy/too tired, and then I would probably be in less pain. When I replied that I would rather look into treating the SOURCE of the pain, as opposed to numbing the pain, he literally said that he had no suggestions. He had absolutely no empathy or bedside manner. Incredible waste of time and money. I would recommend the Mind-Body Medicine clinic instead, if you suffer from chronic pain and want an empathetic doctor who is actually knowledgable and willing to help find your cause and cure.
