Very unprofessional. The staff did not tell me what they were about to do. They just did it. Told me to lay down. Then proceeded to jerk my pants down. First time having this injection. I went in for an injection in lower back. I couldn't tell you the Dr name nor pick him out of a picture. I just heard his voice and he was gone.

I have been taking my mother to her appointments here for a couple of years. For a long time, we would arrive early and they would take her back almost immediately. She would be finished in about 10 minutes. Now they have started a new check in process on an iPad. Old people with painful conditions are expected to fill out medical history EVERY visit. They have all of this information on file. There is no way my mother could do this on her own in less than 30 minutes. Maybe it's just to pass the time, because they also never get her into her appointment on time. Then when they do take her back, she has to wait again before they actually come in to see her.

All the staff at IPC have been great recently new addition with Dr. Guarino is hands down the worst. I waited for 50 minutes for him to enter room. Shook my hand said nothing showed up on your MRI nothing is wrong with you. After 2 ER trips totaling over $38,000. Yes something is wrong may not be as what he says "I specialize in that, I don't know who would have sent you here for that." Recommended that I follow up with gynecologist even though complete CT scan showed everything normal. Requested that my MRI results put into my chart to view was told to go where I had it done at & get it from them they don't do that. He was very unprofessional & rude just a little to sure of his self. I work in healthcare & if one of our doctors talked & treated our patients like that he wouldn't last. Too bad a coworker like that will cause this business to get bad reviews. My nerve medication prescribed is sent to pharmacy wrong Everytime. The notes say 350mg of my medicine but each time 100mg less. Guess it's time to move on. Beware stick with Dr. Buenger & Trisha.

This is possibly the worst office that I've ever had the displeasure of being involved with. Overall, I'm sure the majority of the staff are great, caring people who genuinely want to help others have a better quality of life. That being said, Nurse Practitioner Katie Barnard, FNP-BC, taints the whole practice. She is quite possibly the most uncaring medical "proffesional" that I've ever come into contact with. To work in the pain management field of medicine, you have to possess a certain level of compassion, empathy and humanity. Katie Barnard retains none of those character traits. Even having been diagnosed with multiple chronic and debilitating diseases, she has shown no sign of caring or desire to help. What she has shown is her callous, judgmental personality and her ability to make a person (with a painful debilitating disease) feel like a drug seeker/drug abuser- which is the farthest from the truth when a person is attempting to lower dosages on medication(s) rather than increase them. Her staff profile on the website states that she "enjoys being able to follow her patients through their journey of feeling better." She goes on to say that her "goal as a provider is to listen to her patients, educate them regarding their diagnosis, and provide a plan of care that is safe and individualized towards each patient." Going off of her self proclaimed description, she sounds like she would be a great provider but the problem arises when she does not practice what she preaches. Her words say one thing and her actions say another, which is a red-flag in regards to her honesty and shows her lack of trustworthiness. It sounds like she should have stayed in urgent care because she could find considerably more "drug seeking patients" in that area of practice. If she could spend one day in the body of someone who has a disease that causes debilitating pain every second of every day, she would probably become a more compassionate human being and actually want to help her patients have a better quality life. If you are a patient looking for a pain management provider, I would advise you to stay away from this office because after your initial visit with the doctor, you could become her patient. In my opinion, it's not worth jeopardizing your physical AND mental health by having Katie Barnard as your provider.
