“He's a liar. He told me my spine was twisting because of spinal muscular atrophy and didn't bother ordering any tests to back up his theory. He assured me that is what was happening. I went to a different doctor and got an X-ray and a CT scan and the it showed I had two fractured ribs and my bottom rib became disconnected from the cartilage attached to my sternum. I now have a protruding rib that causes me a lot of problems. Had I known that's what was going on from the beginning I could have had it heal in place. The man is too busy to take more patients. He has lied to me on numerous occasions just to get me out of the office. Do not go to this doctor if you are at all concerned about your health. I would leave my phone number on this review so I can tell you some more horror stories about my experience with this man, but I'm not going to. I can't even describe how much I despise him for what he has done to me. I have never been treated so horribly before. I'm very surprised there hasn't been more lawsuits thrown at him.”

“I am very displeased at how I was treated at my first appointment with Dr Hsu. He blew into the exam room, commented on my meds that they needed to be completely redone. Ok, I'm all for that and then had me move to show him my range of motion. He spent less than 10 minutes with me. He then wrote a prescription for me to start taking, but his first medication he wanted me to take I am ALLERGIC to. All my allergies to medications were in my chart. The second medication he wanted me to start this week, but I needed an EKG first to make sure that I don't have a heart arrhythmia because this medication can cause them. This doctor wanted to change 3 of my meds AND wean me off of a fourth but never really looked at my chart. Plus these 4 meds were prescribed by 3 different doctors and I wanted to run some of these changes by them BEFORE making global changes to my medications. When I called to tell New Era Medicine that I was allergic to the medication prescribed, I was told that the doctor would be notified and I would hear back from them. That was 2 weeks ago. I have cancelled ALL future appointments with him. Very disappointed with the level of "care" I received from Dr. Powen Hsu.”

“Terrible pain management doctor. I would not recommend him to anyone. He is not honest, hides behind his staff, will not return patients phone calls upon request, will not listen to patients needs, lacks attention to records details and accuracy, etc I wrote a more detailed review under New Era Medicine. Do not use this doctor, he only is concerned with staying on schedule so he can leave every day at 4:30.”
