“My primary physician referred me to Dr. Handel for trigger point injections. I met with Bryant(who no longer works there for personal reasons) I think the year was 2020 or 2019. She explained everything to me gave me the injections and I got relief. The next appointment she also gave me injections for my hips. That went fine. I had an injection done by Dr. Handel in my s.i. joint. I looked this up on you-tube because I wasn't familiar with a procedure like this. The procedure did not go the way I anticipated, it felt rushed and I ended up with a terrible headache for two weeks. I chose to never have that done again. It also didn't last as long as I anticipated from based on all my research. Bryant told us she was leaving the practice, (not happy, because she was so good and kind and professional).. My next appointment was with Michael for trigger point injections. He was a nervous wreck and I felt like I had to make him comfortable about giving me these shots. Then I knew that I was in trouble. He kept knocking on Dr. Handel's office door for help with the shots because he said he wasn't sure how to give this shot to me. This isn't what any patient wants to hear. My husband and I weren't even on 95 south yet and I was in horrible pain. I never went back again. I called and cancelled all of my appointments. There's a reason why every staff member left the practice. Do your research. Everyone that worked there at that time was a woman. Google his name and see what you find out. I just did and that is the reason for my review today. People need to know. I myself was horrified to learn this.”
