What Patients Say
Patient Testimonials
“Before my back surgery, (for a T-12 compression fracture, L3/4 deteoriated disc's, an L5 ruptured disc, and finally herniated S 1/2 discs) (remember, I had delivered 4 kids naturally in 7 years, and participated in active sports my whole life, my back was shot!) But nonetheless, they refused, considering I was so young, (31 and 4 kids under the age of 12) all the doctors I had seen, refusing to operate on me, their answer was, opioids! 5 years later, and many actual attempts at trying multiple meds, I was prescribed Norco 10mg/325 qid. And suddenly, the"pain mgmt" groups appear everywhere out of nowhere! (Gone are the days of your primary general care physician treating you for pain of any kind.) Enter stage left, Dr Craig Charleston. He was friendly, even flirted a little, but the relationship was a good one. Then, a few appointments under his "care", he forced me to have spinal injections (or he wouldn't prescribe pain meds anymore). (How's that for patient empathy and care?) But although reluctant, I went through his pain staking procedures. 4 to be exact!! Well, in the middle of all of this, I get engaged and I'm now planning a wedding. The week of my wedding, i went for my regularly scheduled appt and he wrote my scripts. I got them filled at the WALMART pharmacy and then on my wedding day, in the middle of getting dressed at the venue, I receive a call from good ol doc. Asking about my last Rx. Apparently he miss wrote the rx and they gave me a 90 day supply. I didn't think anything of it. That's what I thought it was. But he commences to bitching me out as I'm getting dressed for my wedding, and demands I be in his office first thing Monday am. I explained I would be in Mexico on my honeymoon and he said he didnt care, if I wasn't there, he'd report me ?? what the heck have I done??? So, guess where i was Monday am? All to have him dismiss me from his practice and accuse me of being a drug addict! I was hysterical by this point. I had followed all their BS rules to the T and because HE made an error on his Rx, he was so scared of being in trouble, he was trying to frame it to look like it was me! I never had another issue with this medication in any situation or any further accusations ever, and I had back surgery the following year as to not have to deal with these money hungry "money clinics" that are simply willing to carry the weight of responsibility for prescribing schedule II+ drugs for patients. Its all a game today. No one can get actual pain relief. It left me with a very bitter taste for most doctors and who they really are working for to help, themselves! Because it damn sure isn't we, the patients.”
