“This man is rasist & treated me like a criminal. On my first and only visit he took my $150.00 first, then had me take a UA without even having me signing a contractual agreement or paperwork to concent. I failed the UA due to me seeking relief from my painful injuries. And instead of him offering another alternative or another type of treatment, I experienced shaming, discrimination, and was treated with a lack of compassion and dignity. He even threatened to call the police on me because I'm assuming because he wasn't too fond of me asking ethical questions regarding my drug screening and my request for a refund. It's pain doctors like him that causes some patiences to stop seeking treatment all together for fear of the stigma that will be placed on those who use controlled medication. Some patients may just turn to self-medicating with illegal drugs and alcohol because of the doctors lack of concern and communication.”
