“I would love to give 5 stars, but I was just "fired" by him. I have been seeing him as a patient ever since he worked out at the Christian NE building... first time I saw him was around 2012. He was very caring, compassionate, and he treated my back pain effectively with epidural injections ans trigger point injections. I started seeing him a few years ago, until my job was taken over by SSM, and he was no longer in network. I was able to pay cash for a few visits, and even paid cash for my last procedures. But, it is expensive, and my financial situation changed. So I had to cancel my last few appointments. I didn't just no call / no show, I actually called and cancelled the appointments because I did not want to waste his time when I wasn't able to pay on those particular appointments. My situation changed, and I called to make an appointment (because I'd seen 3 pain doctors within network now, and they all told me they were not able to perform the treatments Manchanda did, and did not feel comfortable treating my back) and the nurse told me he stated he would not accept me back because of my cancelled appointments! I thought I was doing the right thing by canceling my appointments, since I wasn't able to get the money together to pay him. I don't like to owe anyone, and I would not waste their time by showing up unable to pay. I am still a cash patient, but my situation had changed and the payments aren't an issue any longer, and I'm 100% okay for paying cash because he did excellent work, and I relayed that to the nurse, but she again told me he would not accept me back. It's just horrible that you build a trust with a physician, especially when they're doing procedures that require needles in your spinal area, and because I did what I felt was the right thing to do, I was "fired" as a patient. This is just my experience. I'd never tell anyone not to go see him, because he was a great doctor and I was happy with my treatments and I trusted him. But, I feel slighted. It's hard to build trust with new doctors. And now I'm stuck, again, trying to find someone to treat my radiculopathy. I'm not drug seeking, I NEVER ask for pain meds, I'm courteous when I'm in office, I'm polite, and thankful. A model patient, that just had a financial crisis (short term). I'm disappointed and saddened.”
