“Dr Smith jerked me around on the back ablation, canceling it twice--once while on the procedure table--instead doing a sacroiliac block because he said it was acting like more of that type of problem. I said ~ the nerve ablation gave me 7 months of relief. So, I reported him to Quality Control--an outfit under Center for Medicare Services called Livanta. Livanta had trouble getting the records: that's because Dr. Smith and his crew were busy rewriting them. That's all Livanta does--records reviews-- so they gave the falsified records a pass. I have offered to take a polygraph test. Those injections did nothing for me other than cause me pain and bleeding at the injection site. Livanta has a terrible record with the BBB; I think it's creating a moral hazard. Naturally, all the doctor has to do is falsify the records, and they are in the clear. I was going to report him to the State Medical Board, but my attorney advised to just get on with my life since I have a new doctor, and it would be time-consuming and distracting. All I would want to do is have the records expunged, and maybe have a menace doctor reprimanded for altering my chart in his favor. I wouldn't be surprised if he does it often. My MRIs show osteoarthritis and NOT sacroiliitis. The nurse that wrote it up was saying that even if I got a little relief, I would be a candidate for joint fusion--trying to sell another procedure, I presume.”
