“I developed an infection on my spine not long after back injections in the surrounding location where these injections were placed. I was told by several doctors, that this most likely was the cause of the infection. Poor sterilization? Regardless, the treatment can continue the rest of your life. I had multiple MRIs and CT scanning with and without contrast, ultrasound, so many labs I lost track, and a deep-bone biopsy. My infection burned itself out, which is rare and an an answer to many prayers, but will have to be followed up for life. Never again will I allow anyone to inject my back. I had no idea it could cause this. Don't do it, it's not worth the nightmares it can bring to your life. If it happened to me, it could happen to anyone. I'm older, cautious and thought I was doing the right thing - wrong.”

He is a knowledgeable, compassionate, and persistent doctor. Instead of just saying that because the x-rays had been normal, it must just be chronic pain, he explored everything that could be causing it. And he found the problem! So now I'll be seeing an orthopedic surgeon with proof in hand that there's a real problem, with a recommendation for arthroscopic surgery.
