Patient Testimonials

My mom has been seeing Dr. Mammo for about two years, and our experience with him has been deeply disappointing. From the very beginning, he displayed a lack of empathy and genuine care for his patients. During our initial visits, it was evident that he seemed impatient and uninterested, often acting as if our questions were an inconvenience. Dr. Mammo administered one shot for my mom that was effective, but the second one didn't work. When we brought this up, he became defensive rather than addressing our concerns constructively. Recently, my mom returned to his office due to severe hip pain and difficulty walking. Dr. Mammo stated that he didn't have time to give her a shot and referred her to PA Brian instead. After the procedure, my mom experienced severe swelling and bruising from her hip down to her ankle. When I called the office out of concern, I was told that Dr. Mammo was busy and that Brian would call us back. Two days passed without a response. When I followed up, the receptionist informed me they were busy with other patients, which made us feel ignored and dismissed. We ended up seeing her primary doctor who took care of my Mom the same day. At her follow-up appointment, I reminded Dr. Mammo about the swelling and bruising. He asked if my mom was on blood thinners (which she was), but instead of taking responsibility for not reviewing her medication list, he defensively claimed it wasn't in her online chart. I pointed out that other doctors always review her medications first, but this critical step was neglected by his office. The final straw came when my mom asked what could be done to alleviate her pain. Instead of offering hope or a plan, Dr. Mammo coldly told her that it would only get worse and she would always be in pain. My mom was devastated and left in tears. The next morning, her pain worsened, and we had to seek help from her primary doctor. Thankfully, he reassured her, provided treatment, and within a few days, she started to feel better. Dr. Mammo has demonstrated a lack of knowledge, empathy, and responsibility. His behavior was unprofessional and heartless, leaving my mom feeling hopeless and dismissed. I do not recommend him to anyone.

I do not recommend no one to this man. He is racist. I am a black female who was referred to him when I went to the office. He act as if he did not even want to touch me. His receptionist is rude. They're very hard to contact. he's rude. He does not know how to talk to people he over. Talk to you, and he shoves you off like he don't want to be bothered. He's the worst unprofessional doctor I've ever met.

I had a very upsetting experience in Dr Memmo's office recently. I was scheduled to see Brian his APRN for a follow up on a nerve test Dr Memmo sent me for. I had arranged to see Dr Memmo after not being happy with my current doctor and wanted to switch to this office. The first appointment was very good with Dr Memmo. He said he needed to do some tests to determine what was causing my pain. He hoped he could help me as the previous doctor didnt. When I came for the follow up appointment with Brian, he stormed in to the exam room telling me that Dr Memmo can not take your case and I needed to leave now!. He said I've been seeing another doctor so I can't be seen in this office. I explained I made it quite clear that I am not returning to that doctor and switched to Dr Memmo. He would not go over my test results and said he would refer me to a surgeon to match my personality. He was so rude and condescending. I left the office in tears. I sent a letter to Dr Memmo that day. Then I made a call a week later to the office manager after not hearing any response to my letter. She said she would not be able to handle that but would prefer me to the CEO of the company and he would definitely be calling me Monday morning. I never heard anything from him or Dr. Memmo. How sad you can't call your patients back after being treated awful with no explanation!

Office staff is very friendly. Dr. Memmo is pleasant and explains everything so you understand.
