“I've been disabled for 8 years w/scoliosis & all the pain that comes with it. I've always been able to get a PM doc where ever I lived. I moved to Lubbock in '20 and called every PM doc in my plan and Dr Colvin was the only doc that would see me. He's been awesome though & I'm glad he was willing to treat me! Last Jan he had his license suspended & AGAIN no docs would see me. Plz note I have never failed a drug test, I took myself off anything that I couldn't tell was helping after 3 months & I've had more then 20 procedures inc fusion of L2/3&3/4, 2 stimulators, several injections, pain pump and on & on. Dr Colvin put me on fentanyl patches. (I've had gastric bypass and I'm sure that's why pills don't help.). I had been on the patches for about 2 years. Was my pain gone? No but I could have a life. I could walk most of the time. Because of the license thing, I actually had to travel to Amarillo to see a doc... first thing she says is "I would never prescribe fentanyl!" And that I was overmedicated! So she takes me off the ONE thing that ever helped in 8 years & gives me something for the withdrawal & supposedly to help w/pain, never did! So, after all my withdrawal & seeing this was doing nothing, I weaned off that, cancelled our trip to Italy that we had been saving 10 yrs for & started the hunt for a surgeon willing to do full spinal fusion in hopes it will fix my pain or I would die on the table because this life wasn't worth living! After about to give up, my last surgeon agreed & I'm actually in rehab right now. My PCP asked what my plan was for PM after & I told him either I'm fixed or I pray god takes me on the table. I have nobody that will even treat me for surgical pain! Lubbock sucks & Dr Colvin was the FIRST PAIN DOC TO GIVE A CRAP about his patients!!! All this medical board licensing stuff is BS! I have NEVER even been in a room by myself w/him in 4 years! I hope he gets to fix all this cuz he gives a crap about you the person, not you the payday!”

“I can't say enough about Dr Colvin and his staff .... Ms Angela / Ms Kay have gone way beyond their duties during my visit .... Yes I have seen the staff have not so good days as well but folks WE ATE HUMAN !!! they deal with people in pain daily so yes it a very hard job !!! Ok why work there then is the question going thru your mind well I will tell you WHY !!! Dr Colvin is just an awesome caring man and yes to have to wait to get seen is because Dr Colvin and Ms Angela LISTEN to you and do not rush the visit so yes it worth the wait ... 2nd Dr twiddling and twerked till he & I found a regimen that was PERFECT for just me .... 3rd they see people who are in pain daily many a day so it's hard to get yelled at by a patient one minute the room your not ... folks it's not an easy task 4th it's not just a job to them they CARE about your level of pain TRUST ME !!! 5th Dr Colvin is a GODLY MAN !!! He had prayed with me before a procedure and sometimes just because I could go on but you get the point Dr Colvin/ Ms Angela are worth the wait !!!”
