“I've never been treated so meanly by any doctor. He had me in tears within minutes. Initially I had been referred for shoulder pain. But within the 3 month wait to get into pain management, my rheumatologist recommended some stretches and my shoulder was feeling better. I have chronic back/neck pain from a MVA 5 years earlier. It had gotten much worse over the past year and I wanted to discuss that. He continually cut me off when I was trying to explain. I told him that I had crushed 3 vertebrae in my thoracic region. He asked what they did for my back and I said they weren't able to do anything. He laughed and said it must not have been that bad if they didn't do anything. I told him I was in a body shell for three months. Oh, he says. He just kept saying I was referred for shoulder pain and if that's better then he didn't know what he could do for me. I asked if this was a shoulder pain clinic or a general pain clinic. I had him in the room maybe 4-5 minutes. When he first came in, a nurse opened the door and said something to him. About 5 minutes into my appointment, while he was being mean to me, a nurse opened the door again. I was in mid sentence and he said I have a procedure and out the door he walked. Mind you... I didn't get back into a room until 50 minutes after my appointment time. He came in an hour after my scheduled appointment time. I picked up my purse and left. This man should not have a license to practice medicine. He was wicked mean and I was nothing but patient and kind.”
