I'm loosing the ability to walk with a crippling pain disease. No one has ever been as good to me as the doctors and most nurses have been here. Bless you all love Angie

If you are referred to this Dr. ??, for an RFA, run, don't walk away. It's a total scam. I had 2 five minute appointments to to test for approriate treatment. Never returned a call . Every call I made to Lakewalk said, a half a dozen times, " We'll get back to you". Never did. This went on four four months until I got a bill for use of the facilities for $750. Dr. ? Davies had never followed the Medicare protocol for RFA so I was stuck with a $750 bill. Collection called and agreed! it was a scam but said it would cost more to go to court. Other Lake walk providers I have used are top notch but this guy is "dreck"./ Medicare requires a "Full and complete physical" exam before paying for RFA. Never done in this case. Appts. were Oct. 17 and Oct 24 2024 and never gave me an appointment for RFA. Billed for $750 without ever seeing Dr. Davies. Facility use it was called when they sent me the bill. Not over a year ago but I paid in Jan. 2025 to settle. I still have the option of small claims court. More lies on the followup to my original post. Dr. Davies WAS paid in full by my insurance, Medica. Medicare is great when the rules are followed.

Dr Davies is the best in the Midwest! He is prompt, easy to talk with and very knowledgeable. I also appreciate being able to get in to see him with very little wait time.

My name is David Greene and I don't write many of these reviews. I feel that it is time to write one to do what I can to help others with knowing what they can expect from the pain management clinic here in Duluth Minnesota. I have never had an actual office visit with this doctor to discuss my pain. It's always been a quick hello " This is what we are injecting into you today", and that is it. Never have we talked about where I've been in life and what I've gone through to be in the pain I'm in. We've never talked about the actual management of my pain and if the procedures are even working, it is not personal at all They know I've been let down, after a couple years of being called every 4 months for appointments it's now crickets. The people at Lake walk surgery center are very nice, but the pain management isn't that effective. To me pain management is more than drugs to alleviate pain, to me its developing a plan to manage it long term (hence the term management). My primary care physician is levels above the pain management clinic in both treatment and personal care. It's the trust care and compassion of my primary dr that has helped me to find sobriety, which is 3 years and something I am beyond grateful for. My primary asks me how he can help me, and has taken the time to understand my story and how I got to where I'm at today. Life is more than the almighty dollar, and maximizing how many patients can be seen in a day. The pain management team people are nice, the lady that used to call me for appointments seemed to be the most caring of all of them. If the entire team could show as much care and compassion as her, I'd give the place 5 stars. It's hard to put your trust into a medical facility that has never taken the time to understand the problems and how they came to be. If I had life to do over, I'd show them how to take things to the next level. For now I will walk in pain, and search for the place that will take the time to understand my issues which are as follows. I've been in four severe car accidents, two that were roll overs that both warranted life flight. I've been hit by a car as a pedestrian, and have sustained two TBI's. I've fallen off of two roofs as well as 3 levels of scaffolding. I've broken multiple bones and had several soft tissue tears. Somedays I hurt so bad that I struggle to sleep let alone get out of the house to do much of everything. Although they are not all pain related, I have been on the table around 90 times in life now for surgeries/procedures. I've had 5 knee surgeries, three shoulder surgeries, and a couple of back surgeries Some of which cause me a great level of anxiety and stress which is another thing I don't think this facility is built to deal with. My pain has been so bad at points in my life that I turned to drinking to numb it, and that caused me to be labeled as a bad person and a drug seeker. The people at the pain clinic in Duluth are nice people, I just wish they would have taken the time to understand my situation so they could have maximized the level of care they are capable of giving. My last visit for injections was one of the worst procedures I've been through. I was conscious for most of it and experienced the pain when they were injecting me. I wish them all the best but will not call them for another appointment, I'm currently under the sole care of my primary while I search for another pain management facility in the state to help me find a higher quality of life which we all deserve. If the facility would like to try to help resolve these issues, they can call me ( I wont be holding my breath or expecting it) to set up an office visit to discuss my physical pain and how they can help me manage it. In closure, I want to say again that the people associated with the pain management clinic are nice people, it's just to bad that the management part itself is lacking the management.
