“My wife saw Dr Achilles and he treated her with sympathetic ganglion nerve block. She told him from the beginning that using versed for conscious sedation had the opposite effect on her...making her manic. This was well documented but all 4 times he used conscious sedation he continued to use versed. She obviously was the opposite of having sedation using that med, but he would do it every time. I heard he left PCA after not getting his way. I would not recommend him because if he truly was following 'do no harm' oath, he wouldn't have kept giving her that medicine. My wife is with another pain management group since we moved to Asheville. I don't know what is this doctors issues, but they got in the way of her receiving good quality care. Everyone else...other practitioners and all staff were wonderful. They cared.”
