“So I have been dealing with chronic back pain since about 2010. I have had injections, resotomy, I've tried different shoes, physical therapy, I had my SI joint fused and I've had my lower L4, L5 and S1 fused back in November 2023. We thought that would help. “I have a rare disease that causes me severe and almost constant pain. I've been treated unkindly by even pain management specialists and have experienced their unscrupulous practices including prescribing "breakthrough" pain meds which promptly made my long term pain med ineffective. Dr Urie is the first doctor that I've ever felt totally safe with. He's knowledgeable, kind and compassionate. When I'm at my appointment he's completely devoted to me, I'm never rushed, he's very thorough and listens to every thing I want to discuss. He is the expert so I ask him questions about what might best for my treatment and I take his advice because I know he knows what he's doing and if I feel strongly about something and he feels it's safe for me then we'll try it, but if he knows it's not going to be good or safe for me then he explains why and we find an alternative. Dr Urie has been slandered here beyond description by what looks to me people who were unhappy that they weren't able to control this doctor into prescribing meds in an unhealthy manner or people who were unwilling to pay their bill. The office staff has always been very kind and professional and have never been dishonest in their billing practices with me. If you've been a patient of his even once it's clear that he truly cares for his patience and their suffering. I would recommend him to my family and would know they were in great hands.”
