“I would like to say , that Dr. Deroee is great! I have suffered with back pain for many years and have seen several Drs over those years. I also suffer from a neurogenic progressive disease. At times, it has been difficult to distinguish between the sources of my chronic pain. I have been seeing 3 different back Drs. over the last few years. Dr Feng recommended I see Dr Deroee to try and get more pain relief. I'm so glad I did! Dr D. was so empathetic and kind. He actually seemed to genuinely care that I was suffering. Not only that, but he wanted to help me with my pain. While seeing 3 different back Drs, I have endured many spinal injections, many tests and 3 major back surgeries. My first back surgery which was performed in Los Angeles County, damaged a nerve to my leg and has caused me severe pain the last 4-5 years. I had other back surgeries since that time and nothing not even, a lumbar fusion, brought me any relief. The only thing that would even dull the pain were narcotics. I was so afraid of getting addicted to them, I would only take the minimal amount. Dr Deroee recently recommended I try an electrical spine stimulator, which would involve implanting special wires and a battery into my spine and buttocks. I was so afraid of the procedure that I actually scheduled, then cancelled the trial surgery twice! Then, one day Dr Deroee called me at home and actually pleaded with me to at least do the trial. If it didn't work, no harm no foul. I didn't have to go forward with the surgery. Well, let me tell you that when I underwent the trial, I was hooked! I had to wait a few weeks to get the Medtronic Spinal Stimulator implanted permanently and I could hardly wait! It was like a miracle to me! October 19 was my surgery date. I can honestly say that I experienced very minimal pain with the surgery and recovery period. I do realize that my back is not fixed, but now when it starts bothering me, all I have to do is adjust my therapy with my remote control and the pain stops. It's amazing. I am no longer on any narcotics for my back or leg pain. I couldn't be any happier with the results or with Dr Deroee for teaching me about this product and Dr Feng, for performing the surgery.
