“i came into the practice just as dr bonner was taking over for rileys remaining patients. its taken me years to find a pain mnagement dr that wouldnt just prescribe me tons of pain meds that have effects im uncomfortable with, he helped me find something that could treat my chronic pain, make it livable, so that im able to function and be healthy and have a clear state of mind while treating my pain, for which im extremely grateful. i dont have insurance that he takes, so i pay out of pocket but hes set up visits so that i come in every two months to save me money, and refills my script between visits, so i dont think hes just in it for the money, he seems to care a lot about his patients. the only complaint i have is sometimes despite having a set appointment time it takes quite a while to get into see him, but from what i gather its because he takes time with each patient to give them the best treatment he can. it cant be easy being a pain management dr in oakland honestly, he has a ton of patience and i think the time he spends with each person is probably valuable to their quality of treatment. from what i was told by rileys previous patients in the waiting room he retired with no notice to his patients, which doesnt seem particularly caring or proffesional considering what it puts those people through.”
