Patient Testimonials

I was on pain medicine for yrs given to me by Dr. Erb. When the. Opioid Crisis started he for no reason except his own crazy fears made a 360 degree on my treatment. Lowering my doses without talking to me about he demanded that I will never get an increase ever again and jumped up and yelled this at me in front of a student doctor in training. Starting at next appointment. I was told I would be decreased. No discussion A few weeks later my diagnosis for lung cancer came in. He didn't care didn't ask if it was causing any pain, which it was and continued to decrease my medicine over time out of his own fears. I suffered so much more then I had to. All of you he think he is wonderful, must not be in that much pain You would be on a fools errand to seek treatment with him. He will betray you if it fits his needs. This is what the medical authorities say about if a patient is on pain meds for any reason and then get diagnosed with cancer and reduction of opioids. No, a doctor cannot legally decrease a cancer patient's opioid pain medication without a valid medical reason and a careful tapering plan. In fact, national and state guidelines for opioid prescribing specifically exempt cancer pain and end-of-life care from the tight restrictions placed on other types of pain management. This means that a doctor has a legal and ethical obligation to treat the patient's pain, which may increase with a cancer diagnosis. Aggressive or forced opioid tapering for cancer patients is considered negligent and can lead to legal action No I didn't die from lung cancer as of this date, but Dr. Erb didn't know at the time how bad it was nor did he care. I suffered through surgery, chemo, etc because he continued to decrease me one point at my weakness period him a ND hi assistant Vicky Rademaker dropped me 30 milligrams a day all at once. Never caring how I was doing or feeling in my cancer fight and I believe my surgeon was influenced by him. The reason is I woke up from surgery with no pain pump which was the standard at the time. I was only give the normal amount of meds I took everyday nothing additional for the pain from surgery. That was a Friday, it took to Sunday evening after 3 days of battling with in house pain department to get a pain pump so I could get some relief from surgery at S M H in Sarasota. I believe Dr Erb told everyone I was drug seeking and an addict Today and everyday I suffer in pain. I stopped taking the Suboxone he gave me which only helps with withdrawal.. No pain relief. No matter how much I tried to talk to them him & Vicky about considering my condition it went on deaf ears Neither one of them should have a license to be treating people. They wanted to go to war we me now I will goto war with them. Again going there for compassionate. Treatment is a fools errand. They aren't even compassionate enough to be Veterinarians forget about treating humans. The people who praise him areost likely not in severe pain. Had all his injection radio frequency all of it didn't work for me. This doctor is a a Charlaten ...an Impostoreo!!! A Dr. Who tomorrow if told by CDC they changed there stance on opioids would change his prescribing ways again. Has no backbone to believe in what's right only cares about... himself. Still suffering I pain will for the rest of my life thanks to him. Oh no other pain Dr will see me- I have tried even some of my Drs started treating me differently when they were told I was on Suboxone. Which is only for withdrawal. Not for PAIN!!!!! I Was they say kicked cold turkey with all the other problems I have, missing half a lung, kidney problems Chronic Anemia to name a few.. Do yourself a favor and don't listen to all the silly gooey teasataments about this Dr. He showed his true self to me and many others.

Avoid Dr. Erb and His Nurse Practitioner Victoria at All Costs As a retired anesthesiologist in the medical field since the 1970s, I have encountered many medical professionals, but I have never been treated with more disregard, arrogance, and outright incompetence than by Dr. Erb and his nurse practitioner, Victoria. Before even ordering an MRI, CT scan, or X-ray, Victoria immediately labeled me as "drug-seeking"--a completely baseless and reckless assumption. This was before she had any objective evidence of my condition. When imaging was finally done, it confirmed significant issues in my spine, yet their treatment of me did not improve. If anything, it worsened. Dr. Erb appears to have completely detached himself from patient care, showing no regard for individual medical history or the severity of a patient's condition. His ignorance in treating me was astonishing, and his dismissive, condescending attitude made it clear that patient well-being is not a priority in his practice. I saw him twice, and both times, I was met with the same callous disrespect. Nothing he prescribed or suggested provided any meaningful relief. And getting in to see him was an ordeal--after an already long wait to get an appointment, I spent two hours sitting in his waiting room past my scheduled time, only to receive rushed, impersonal care that ultimately helped nothing. His practice is an absolute failure in patient care. If you're looking for genuine medical help, do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.
