Patient Testimonials

Punitive and petty rescheduling process. Per a delay at an appointment earlier in the day at a different provider, I called Crystal Coast Pain Management to advise them of such and that I was running about 15 minutes behind, but was absolutely on my way. The call was taken Carla, and she told me they allow up to a 15 minute delay window, and that it should be fine for me to show up. I was at the check-in desk speaking to the check-in person exactly 15 minutes after my appointment, and was denied because "you need to be checked in in the system within the 15 minutes window, not just be in the office". Same response was given from a supervisor. How long does it take to click a button on a computer to check someone in? Standing on a technicality like that, especially when the patient called in advance, is petty, cruel, inhumane, and not a way to treat patients. None of those individuals who made that call to turn me away would have appreciated that happening to them. Also note that my appointment had been rescheduled from 20 days earlier, as my appointment type was coded incorrectly in the system. So they can make mistakes and delay patients, but don't let it dare be the other way around.

I have been a patient at CCPM Jacksonville for years. The doctors, FNP's, reception area as well as nurses are always pleasant and professional. No complaints here I am among the hundreds of people that appreciate Dr. Courtney Auman and all the staff!!! Would recommend them to anyone seeking pain management

Can I give 1/2 star? Apparently this company has merged with EAST CAROLINA ANESTHESIA ASSOCIATES PLLC (E039 ) PO BOX 645304 CINCINNATI OH, since February. Their billing emails still contain the old name, despite the billing details containing the new. I'm a bit annoyed because of a doubling of my copay due to no longer being in-network, even though I was told before I ever went here by my insurance company that they were in network. This newly merged company is also not a CPP, where the original company was. Hopefully you're more informed now. The people there are great, from billing to front desk to doctors, but the company? Not so much.

UPDATE: In August, I was contacted by this facility and asked if I would like to return as a patient. At the time, I politely declined because I already had care established elsewhere. After giving it some thought, I decided to give the facility another chance. Everyone makes mistakes, and I wanted to believe the previous situation may not have been handled properly or that the provider was not aware of how poorly things were managed. Unfortunately, I was wrong. After requesting a referral from my insurance, I was told three weeks ago that someone would reach out to schedule my appointment. No one did. This week, I called three separate times without receiving a return call. I was eventually transferred to a woman named Allie, who spoke to me in an unprofessional and disrespectful manner. She informed me that the provider decided not to book me due to my previous Google review. To be clear--your facility reached out to me requesting that I return. My review addressed only how my insurance situation was mishandled, leaving me with just three weeks' notice to find a new provider. I did have good care, despite consistently long wait times (1-1.5 hours past scheduled appointment). I work in the service industry, so I fully understand delays and extend grace where it's due. However, when it affects healthcare and continuity of care, it becomes a serious matter. During our call, I explained to Ms. Allie that I chose to give this establishment another chance because I assumed they were attempting to correct how poorly the previous issue was handled. Instead, she argued with me--incorrectly claiming/arguing I said I was "never happy" with their care, which is simply NOT reflected in my review. I was also told the provider personally chose not to see me. While I respect any provider's right to make that decision, your staff should not contact former patients and invite them back if the provider has no intention of accepting them. It creates unnecessary stress, especially when patients must go through the time-consuming process of re-establishing care--something your team should already understand. At this point, it is clear that the issues I previously experienced were not isolated incidents but reflect ongoing problems in communication, professionalism, and patient handling. I have been a patient for a few years , and I just got a phone call today telling me they are no longer taking my insurance for my appointment three weeks away. My issue is the fact that they let me know three weeks before as opposed to three months ago . Now I'm going to have a lapse in care and treatment when I could have started the process at a different location. If they truly cared about their patients' well being, they would have e given notice to avoid lapse in treatment or care. I would have even been willing to pay out of pocket. It is unfortunate that they don't care about their patients' well being.
