“I'm giving two stars because the nurses that tended to my gran were very nice. The place was filthy. Her room was appalling. The floor was gross and sticky. There was stuff on the wall by her bed. The toilet wasn't cleaned and the garbage wasn't emptied the entire time she was in the facility. My first time at the place. The nurses were great but the environment was poor.”

“FYI, this facility does not treat their elderly patients for COVID-19. This is not a question I thought I had to ask when searching for good care for my father. At first, they said they did not have the medication on hand and had to request it from the state and it would take too long. Then they said the side effects weren't worth the risk. In the end, my father died in this facility 26 days after he was admitted. I read the reviews and at that time there was only one negative. I truly do not want this to happen to anyone else. Do NOT trust Cook County Medical long-term care.”
