“Earlier Review: Dr. Patel has stole the last 10-12 years of my mother's life from us. Years of not being able to function because she's too high on pain pills. Years of me having to answer my children's questions of "what's wrong with maw maw?" Years of watching her slowly fade away and and not be able to stay awake through a whole conversation. Years of watching her endanger herself. Years of watching her count pills to make sure she has just enough left to pass that drug screen. It's an addiction and Dr. Patel graciously hands out pills like candy to patients to keep them coming back. Update: My mother passed away the morning of Christmas Eve 2023. She had been on Hospice since early November. Note to others who may be addicted to the high amounts of pain meds this doctor prescribes to you..... you will be in tremendous pain in your last days here on earth. Our Hospice organization was astonished at the amount of morphine and fentanyl patches they were having to administer to her to help alleviate some of the pain. December 23rd, we were having to roll her to clean her. At that point she was mostly sleeping and barely speaking. She would scream out in pain. This was the case as well through her various surgeries. Ankle surgery, hip surgery, open heart surgery, partial lung removal. She suffered in pain because unfortunately there is only so much pain medication they can give you before it affects your blood pressure and other various medical conditions. Therefore, she suffered. She would cry out to me in pain wanting me to do something for her and there was nothing I could do. She would continuously ask the nurses to please give her more pain medication, but they couldn't. I write this review in hopes that maybe someone will see it and get the help that they need. What may keep you numb right now may hurt you more in the long run.”
