Patient Testimonials

Dr. Kennedy and his nurse Michael are very attentive and listens to my concerns. They are the only ones who have helped me which makes the trip worth it.

Steph Jackson

I recently had an appointment with a pain specialist, Mr. Tracey Sherman, PA-C, and I regret to say that it was a deeply frustrating and disappointing experience. As someone who has been struggling with chronic pain, I understand the importance of effective communication and empathy in healthcare, but unfortunately, Mr. Sherman fell short in this regard. From the moment I entered the clinic, it was evident that Mr. Sherman was more interested in rushing through the appointment than in genuinely listening to my concerns. His demeanor seemed detached and distracted, and it was clear that my pain and discomfort were not his priority. Throughout the appointment, I attempted to explain the nuances of my pain, its impact on my daily life, and the treatments I had previously tried. However, Mr. Sherman continuously interrupted me, cutting me off mid-sentence and redirecting the conversation to what seemed like a predetermined treatment plan. This lack of active listening made me feel dismissed and undervalued as a patient. What was most distressing about this experience was that Mr. Sherman's inability to listen resulted in a treatment plan that did not address my specific needs. He seemed more interested in pushing his preferred approach rather than tailoring a solution that considered my unique circumstances. Chronic pain is a complex and deeply personal experience, and a successful pain specialist must be willing to engage in a meaningful dialogue with their patients to understand the full scope of their condition. Mr. Sherman's lack of attentiveness left me feeling unheard and left me without the relief I had hoped to find. I left the appointment disheartened, frustrated, and concerned about my ongoing pain management. A strong doctor-patient relationship built on open communication is vital when dealing with chronic pain, and it is disheartening when a medical professional fails to meet this expectation. I sincerely hope that Mr. Sherman can work on his listening skills and consider the unique needs of his patients in the future to provide more effective and empathetic care.

I'm not directly involved, but I must say that I have never felt left out or in doubt of what's happening. Staff, you are awesome. Great job, thank you.
