Patient Testimonials
“I cannot say more than great things about this clinic. The staff is wonderful and ALWAYS on top of everything. They make you feel so warm and welcome, and the doctors are FANTASTIC!! I will NEVER go anywhere but open arms. I love down in Pueblo and believe me, they're worth the drive, for what that's worth. I see Lindsey for my care and she and her MA, ALWAYS make me comfortable and feel like they hear me and genuinely care about my health, well- being and chronic pain care. You will not find better people than the people, here!”

“Unprofessional, unclean, and it smells. Especially in the section of where the patients have to walk through to take urine samples. Urine samples are all stored on a countertop together and IT STINKS. Imagine having nausea and having to walk through to give urine and having to deal with that smell. The bathroom where we have to give urine samples at is extremely filthy. Trash running over, some patients don't flush. The medical assistants don't make sure that the toilet is flushed or the restroom is cleaned for other patients. Also the STAFF are unethical, rude, dishonest, and unprofessional. Report to the medical board ASAP. Always record and take pictures, b/c in the end they will make it look or seem as if the patient is the problem. It is a HIPPA violation MARIESA Woods, for the clinic to not protect the privacy and health information of you all's patients. To have everyone's stuff and information visible to all the patients. You are who need to be reported love. Report yourself. You're so unprofessional and UNHINGED.”

“My experience is just....too long to go into details but long story short I think they're manipulating test results. I was discharged on a positive UA for benzos. They knew I was on it. When I came to my appointment my doctor pulled my lab results and said she forgot if I had been on Valium? Never have been on that. Said I tested positive for clonazepam. I don't take that but I do take alprazolam. I don't know why shes confused? But I did notice that she would often come into my appointments and not remember what we spoke about. Which in hindsight should've put me on alert but I was trusting. She says she needs to discharge me without any explanation just said she didn't know and it didn't make sense to her either and that maybe I got the bottles mixed up? That's an odd thing to say? If you believed that to be true we wouldn't be having this conversation. At the time ( I'm no doctor but I can read ) I really didn't understand the values and what they meant. Says she believes me but it's policy....says that it doesn't make sense and she doesn't know why it looks like that. Even though clonazepam and alprazolam are both benzodiazepines....and the levels? She said the only thing I can do is speak to a manager: I asked to speak to a manager and the girl at the front desk said she'd have her call me. Never heard back. I call the following week and leave a message. No call back. I finally sit to review my test results and they were very inconsistent. One month they would only test for alprazolam, next UA only clonazepam. Then do the opposite on the next few months. Why they would do it like this makes no sense. In JULY which was 5 months ago I see a positive for clonazepam but they didn't test for alprazolam at all. This was ****5***** MONTHS AGO. It was never brought up never an issue and now 5 months later all of a sudden it's my dischargeable offense? The next UA tested was alprazolam but no test for clonazepam. Then my last UA was positive for both? I tried to leave a message with the MA to try to understand and I felt I wasn't going to hear back anyways so I asked if they could Atleast call back to give me info to another clinic. They've ignored me to the point where I called the TESTING LAB themselves. The lady was very nice but said the most interesting thing. She says "I can't go into details but I want you to know you have LEGAL RIGHTS" I spoke to my case manager, I had to go to my doctor and pretty much got the feedback that none of it makes sense, if they had an issue it should've been discussed 5 months ago and as to why the inconsistency in testing nobody has a clue. My provider isn't going to refer to this clinic. She obviously couldn't disclose info but just reassured me that I wasn't the only one. I really liked my provider, I thought she was understanding and fair and educated me about the dangers of kratom and I felt heard. I was really lost in my pain relief journey. I was finally getting relief...like I could breathe for the first time in a long time. I've just suffered for so long....But to be honest I don't know if she was forced to do it regardless of what made sense. She just kept saying she should've discharged me the last visit etc.....I don't know whats going on here but now I see what everyone is talking about. I've given plenty of opportunity to Atleast speak to someone..... Imagine just being completely ignored to the point that you call the testing lab. So there must be something else going on. And then I see the responses from the clinic itself...threatening people, a lady was accused of taking her dogs medication? Telling a guy that he'd be reported....saying "see you in court"... It almost feels retaliatory. Which I hope doesn't happen to me because I'm leaving a review but I feel it's important. I hope this helps someone make a decision whether to stay or go somewhere else.”

“If I could give a negative star review I would. While I am not a patient of this clinic, I am a care provider for someone who is. At first when we came to Open Arms and was with Vicki, I would have given a 5 star review without problem. However, after Vicki left to open other locations, to include leaving the state, the quality of care provided has dropped dramatically. While I can't speak on all the staff here, the main 3 I can is not good. Melissa has consistently refused to look into file to verify special drug allergy instructions, is never available to talk if an issue with medication availability comes up (which it has twice due to a nation wide morphine shortage affecting both compound powder and tablet forms), and while started off nice, has become colder and meaner as the months have gone by since we ended up with her after Jennifer was let go. The assistant and female receptionist are both short and snarky when trying to talk to, and they very rarely contact you back if at all. This is whether you contact them by phone or email to address very important matters. Most recently when we did get a call back, they labeled the patient as drug seeking due to a clerical error by the pharmacy that takes 2-4 business days to pull back out of the state database. The error occurred because the pulled the prescription thinking they could fill it, only to find out they were out of stock and delivery was canceled due to shortage. When pulled from the system it will mark in the database as 'Filled, sold, given to customer' Pharmacist called clinic to explain this, but they wouldn't listen. Additionally, they bill Medicaid as a 'Behavioral health specialist' rather than a Pain specialist. They were also caught charging co-pays to indigent service provided patients resulting in a warning letter to cease doing so by Medicaid being sent to them, we also received a copy of that letter. I can't in good mind and faith suggest any new patients go here, please find a better option, however harder it is to find. To the other co-owner: Do not respond asking me to email you to work on fixing the problems, I already have and you never responded. This tells me you're only worried about a negative review, something you should take as a need to improve rather than hide behind false platitudes and attempts to reach out after it goes public. There is a lot your clinic needs to address, and that is coming from a patient of over 7 years watching the decline in real time. Edit post response update: Yes, you did receive a notice as I do have the copy of the letter you got sent too. Your response further shows you're inability to take responsibility for your actions while also continued rude-reactive culture that is prevalent in the clinic. My real name? Why, so your clinic can place red flags that aren't real? At this point, I wouldn't trust giving that info due to the fact of how your staff has acted and have already moved to another practice. I'm well within my right to give a review of the experience with this clinic whether you like it or not.”
