Patient Testimonials
“I currently attend the White Marsh location and feel very pleased with the care that I receive. All staff are very professional and pleasant, but I am particularly fond of Dr. Monica because of her heightened level of compassion and understanding. I also appreciate that she has incorporated other areas of health such as nutrition and its impact on pain. I love them all and definitely recommend!”

“If got 2 compression fractured vertebrae from a fall April 6th in Florida at a hotel the night before my family and I were headed on a Disney cruise with my little granddaughter. I was very sore but being a nurse I felt I would be OK when we came back. The soreness got worse so I went to urgent care. They told me they did not feel. I had anything broken, but if I felt any numbness tingling anything serious to go to the right to the emergency room so a few weeks passed by then and I woke up and sure enough I felt numbness through my right arm that radiated down to my left arm and down both legs I was rushed by ambulance, but was told by the paramedics, but they thought I was just having a panic attack and at the hospital I was still treated as though it was just a panic attack. Even the doctor didn't seem too worried until I got the x-rays and the doctor came back in and actually acted very surprised but let me know. I did in fact have two compression fracture vertebrae, which explained a lot. I then had another fall unfortunately which caused more pain as I was told I contact an orthopedic surgeon as everyone knows getting into any doctor nowadays is like pulling teeth and sometimes you have to wait months just for an appointment which is what happened to me by the time was all said and done almost 5 months had passed close to six at this point before I was finally done all the test the MRI scans the extra x-rays and different appointments to be sent to a Pain Management for injections in my back. There's a procedure that I was never even told about, but I should've had done in the first six weeks and was told that it was too late at this point and I have been miserable depressed and really felt like giving up many times because the pain is horrible and I'm actually having to use a walker and can't even walk upright anymore and I've been a nurse 27 years and as of a year ago I was taking care of my own mother with cancer till she passed the day before Mother's Day a year ago, and I had to clean out her whole home by myself and now I can't even take care of myself so that is a hard pill to swallow I was referred to a Pain Management. They literally said they couldn't get me in till the end of January and this was the middle of October even though I said I have excruciating pain and can't even walk up right anymore and having to use a walker it didn't matter I found clear way by accident actually but I'm so glad I did. Dr. Jari was very concerned and immediately said he wanted to have me contact my Orthopedic Dr. Zan Naseer immediately and see if he agrees with me having a KYPHOPLASTY. It's basically cement put into the vertebrae to correct the fracture which he said would help me a lot with the pain and definitely would help me to start standing up right again and not need to use a walker anymore. As soon as he said that it gave me hope again and he said no matter what we have to do if my surgeon agrees that this procedure will be good for me then he will get me in there in the next day or two so I don't have to keep suffering, and that meant the world to me. You could tell he genuinely felt bad that I was going through this, especially at only 53 years old. Being a caregiver for patients all these years and then having to be the patient is not something easy for me to do because I admit I can be very stubborn and that's why when I originally fell I didn't even see a doctor because I felt I could handle it, which was a big mistake. That appointment was actually today which is October 17 and I'm waiting for my doctor to call back tomorrow morning to let me know if I can have the procedure so I'm crossing my fingers that I can. Dr. Jari at mad me feel completely at ease. It doesn't hurt to know that he was a specialist for college and professional athletes in London for many years so I guess if professional athletes trusted him just a normal nurse from Maryland can too. I'll do an update once I figure out what's going to be done and how everything turns out but so far I couldn't say anything negative.”

“The girls at the desk are very friendly & helpful wking with u on appts. Dr Gurman is a fantastic pain specialist. My MRI shows my cervical spine (neck) is a Mess. I've been told the real solution to my pain is surgery. I'm tryn to prolong that tho. Dr Gurman is great with accommodating getting u back in ASAP to pain my treatment. I came back after last yrs ECSI procedure wore off from last year. I called & got an appt with a couple days & Doc wanted me in the next day for another procedure (2nd treatment). I would definitely recommend Clearway & ask for Doc Gurman. He's the best & he definitely has ur best interest in mind. This was the day of my procedure. I arrived at 8am. As u can see they werent busy, as Doc told me I'd be his 1st patient that day to give me my most needed neck relief.”
