What Patients Say
Patient Testimonials
“The only reason I gave one star is cause no stars aren't an option. Office staff is extremely rude. They schedule and reschedule and don't let you know till the day before or day of. Witnessed one of the registering ladies being rude to an older lady that couldn't hear and had asked again where to go. Got in the back the guy that led us to the exam room was rude as hell and kept interrupting us and chewing gum as loud as he could and walked out when we asked him to stop. Dr karrs came in for a very brief 10 min at the most said what he was going to proceed with and walked out. I transferred here from KY and boy am I sorry I left my pain management dr there. Nobody returns calls or answers phones. Never have I seen office staff like this in all my life.”

“Unbelievably RUDE office staff! They do not follow up with insurance for prior authorization requests, and they require you to keep to keep calling incessantly to try to make new appointments if insurance does not approve procedures. When you finally do get through to a person, you are talked down to, talked over, and I was even transferred in the middle of speaking today! Ive been put off for months at a time for appointments and procedures. Every time I go in, it's like starting over again as a new patient, and even with insurance I somehow end up paying $600+ per visit, for "approved" procedures! That is after waiting up to 3 hours at every appointment! People with chronic pain conditions struggle with that! This place is a straight-up JOKE! I'm done with them! They do not care. No wonder WV is in the shape it is in. Places like this are contributing to the failure of decent healthcare for WV folks.”

“I have been seeing Dr.Grace for over two years wich is q outstanding Doctor. However he wanted to do a procedure that required a prior authorization from his staff to obtain every apointment fir 7 month's he kept asking about it and his staff kept saying they we're awaiting ro here from my insurance for the approval. Finally he when and asked them and they never even sent the referral. They were waiting for me to bring in forms that had been in my file since day one. The whole time I am in a lot of pain. Then he did a referral to repeat injections when it was approved i got a appointment date but I emediatly called to reschedule I had a apointment on the same day. Didnt here from them called 3 times. Called and even spoke with his nurse. Never hered from them. Upset I tryed to go without any meds for my back for almost 6 months. Till I fell and hurt my back badly. I called and spoke with Dr Grace's nurse and she got me a appointment next day. I went in to my surprise I wasnt seeing Dr Grace and the lady I say was rude not caring I explained to her how much I was hurting way more then when I started coming I told her about the bad fall and she did not order a exray or seem concerned at all. She actually told me a would have to go to ER for paintreatment and they couldn't write me nothing any way till I passed a drug test I said thats fine give me one now but she said it would take two weeks. I told her I was in so much pain. She didnt care. She even asked me why a facial surgen 4 months ago wrote me pain meds thats when I told her I had facial surgery and was admitted to the hospital for 3 days due to a abscess that was blocking my airway. She was.very rude and treated me like a druggie. Thats when I told her I havent even been taking meds for my back for 6 months And I have never failed a test in my life. I was upset and ealked out due to the uncaring and unprofessional altitude. I left ther whent straight to my familie Dr. And they ordered a MRI that showed more damage and the reason I was in so much more pain is because of a new bulge in my disk. I called back and treyed to tell Dr Grace what happened and how I was treated. I talked to his nuse and she told me he would not see me again. And that I sounded high. Dr Grace knows I cut my meds in half I woulnt even take a whole one. This not his fault but he should get better staff.”

“Dr Deer is great. However the rest of the staff there is extremely rude and has no interest in your well being. They couldn't care less what you have to say. Just keep coming back for shots over and over. I have four bulging/ruptured discs in my back and was told I have no reason to get another MRI use an ice pack and keep coming back for shots. Even after I told the NP I could barely walk now and my pain had changed and my leg was going numb. Glad I followed my instinct and got an MRI. My regular doctor referred me to Cleveland Clinic.”
