Patient Testimonials

I usually write the positive reviews, but unfortunately I can't do it today. On August 15, 2025, at 9:18 AM, I called the UV Pain Center to schedule an appointment. After I requested a call back because I was waiting on the line, Stacey returned the call. Unfortunately, she was very rude, did not answer my questions politely about the appointment, and was not helpful. She also hung up and did not wait for me to be connected for the feedback and survey. For a pain specialist center, I believe it's important to have staff who are kind, patient, and polite, especially when dealing with patients who may already be in discomfort.

I started here with a great doctor. She left and I got a new one and she has treated me like a drug addict when I don't take any drugs or drink. Turns out she is the director of the pain clinic and they refuse to give me a different doctor. Instead insist Im a drug addict and need another psychiatrist when Im on enough psych drugs as is and my therapist disagrees with this dr who keeps pushing for more psych drugs or worse drugs meant for drug attacks and I have never been one. I suffer from many chronic pain illnesses only seeking relief in any way possible that won't damage my health. Instead Im being treated like a drug seeking nut case. This doctor needs a new psych evaluation not me. Dr. Katherin A Peperzak Is her name.

I honestly don't know how anyone could leave a bad review for this place. Everyone here is so kind, professional, and really knows what they're doing. I saw Dr. Brian Liem today for pain management, and he was fantastic. He listened to everything I had to say, explained things in a way that made sense, and made me feel completely at ease. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients. The whole team was great--friendly, respectful, and made the whole experience smooth and stress-free. If you're dealing with pain and need help, this is definitely the place to go!

Dr. Wu is an exceptional pain doctor who I highly recommend! Before seeing Dr. Wu, I was struggling with debilitating pain in my lower back. I had even seen a neurologist who dismissed my pain as muscular and suggested I buy a massaging tool! Thankfully, I was referred to the pain clinic at Roosevelt and saw Dr. Wu. Unlike the neurologist, Dr. Wu actually listened to my concerns and ordered imaging. This led to the proper diagnosis of a cyst in my lumbar spine that was pinching a nerve. Dr. Wu administered two steroid injections which significantly reduced my pain, and then he referred me to physical therapy. I'm incredibly grateful to him for his accurate diagnosis and effective treatment plan. My only criticism is the requirement for a driver and someone to wait during the injections. While I understand this protocol is necessary, it creates a significant barrier for patients like me who lack a support system. I hope the clinic can develop a solution for this issue in the future. Despite this, I give Dr. Wu 5 stars. He's a skilled and compassionate physician who truly cares about his patients.
