“Do not go to this Carolinas Center for Advanced mgm of Pain the are the most unorganized people I have ever came across in the medical field. They told me that I needed an X-ray and MRI and my Dr told me that I was going for only an pain study which is to see if I have nerve pain in my neck before having shoulder replacement. I told the Dr and 2 nurses and they all said I was wrong! After having the X-ray I called my Dr and found out they were totally wrong and I had wasted a day and hundreds of $$$ for nothing just to listen to them tell me I was wrong! The wait was over an hour and half for them just to work up procedures I didn't need!! Beware of this place!! There excuse was they have a new system and they are not sure how to use it yet!!!!!!!!!!I feel sorry for the employees working for them!”

“I'll start by saying Daphne the NP is the most wonderful, kind, and compassionate provider. I also have only had good experiences with the front desk staff. However, Dr. Patel on both occasions has been condescending and incredibly rude. I am a healthcare professional and would never speak to a patient the way he did me. I've been on the same pain regimen for years with another clinic in WA state prior to moving to SC. This most recent visit Daphne spoke with him about restarting one of my pain meds for an as needed basis. He proposed a different medication (same exact thing as the first visit) but it didn't exactly sound like what I was interested in plus I know what works for me since I had the same treatment for years. Daphne was going to have him come in to just chat with me. Dr. Patel came barging in to the room, did not even address me, sat down and started going on about how he would not prescribe the medication due to my age and it being addictive. When I slightly pushed back he continued to berate me almost making me feel like a drug seeker. I simply stated I did not appreciate how he was speaking to me. He said "that's fine." I said no that's actually not fine. Ultimately this "chat" was going no where and I said I was going to end this appointment and leave. At this point I'm in tears and telling him to never speak to a patient the way he did to me ever again. He continued to be dismissive. I was in utter shock to me treated like this at a pain clinic. Safe to say I will never return which is such a shame considering how lovely Daphne is. Dr. Patel's bio on the site needs changed as he does not listen to his patients and does not have a holistic approach. Period.”

“My pain Dr. Changed careers so I went to this place and saw Dr. Kieber. He was going to totally change my pain meds. To something weaker and would not give me my usual muscle relaxers, I quizzed him a bit about all of my serious conditions and he didn't answer?! Only then did he start looking at all of the pages of my bad health!? He made this decision without knowing anything about me! I said this won't work coming here. So he wrote me a two week prescription of my usual pain meds until I find a real place that treats pain. By the way he struggled to figure how many pills it would be for two weeks. I knew the answer right away it's 84 pills. He finally came up with 75 pills (wrong) I just shook my head and excepted his number. His name is Dr. Alexander Kieber.....place is a joke”
