Patient Testimonials

I was horrified by Dr. Patel's demeanor from the moment he started speaking. Unfortunately, I have gone to a number of specialists and surgeons with degenerative back issues and chronic pain as a result. Also, my brother and sister-in-law are MD's as opposed to DO. It goes against my professional ethics to speak negatively about another professional and I know that a person can't "make" me feel uncomfortable unless I allow it! Dr. Patel strolled in, sat down far, far too close in my personal space and just started drilling me with questions. It was VERY rude for him to do this - it is difficult enough to have to deal with talking about pain that has taken away almost all quality of life. He showed no empathy, he told me he would not prescribe the dosage of pain medication I have been taking unless I was a terminal patient. It is 10-15 mg of oxycodone. I was dumbfounded. I thought going to pain management was an effort to work together and find a path forward with the end result being less pain medication and more quality of life. Dr. Patel flipped through my paperwork, told me immediately that he would not take me on as a patient, then he spent a good bit of time telling me how I had to accept that I would never be pain free and pretty much (in so many words) said I had to learn to deal with it. He said there was nothing he could do for me, that I needed to speak with a surgeon AFTER I told him I was very skittish and almost phobic about further surgery due the horrific experience I had with my first surgery. He sent me out the door with a prescription for pain medication that was less than half of what I've been taking for at least 7 years. He knew I am opioid dependent, did not care and sent me away with, in his own words...(just enough so that I didn't get sick) until I could find another Dr. The stigma attached to opioids is awful and it is embarrassing enough to have to talk about it and deal with it regularly with any Dr., but Dr. Patel left me feeling dirty, like a criminal practically, that doesn't even include his extreme physical invasion of my personal space. I had to ask him to back away it was so nerve racking. It felt like his face was less than 8-10 inches from mine. It was a creepy and extremely derogatory experience. I have never and I hope I never will feel obligated to leave a review like this about any other fellow professional again. I hope someone is reading these reviews about Dr. Patel.

I had the unfortunate opportunity to be refer to Doctor Patel. He is supposed to be an advanced pain. Doctor medicine, well, he doesn't play in my injuries, I have heard he did dissolve. And does the generative disk 5 of them? And I'll draw Arthritis in the rapid. I've been in 2 car accidents not due to full of my own. When in April 2023 and then another one in November of 2024 in which my car was told t-bone I feel like a human crash stunning, but he came in shook my hand it was like I was shaking him with the devilcame in with a snout. And didn't want to give me any type obtain medication. He didn't want to do anything but put some type of paying patch that he was probably in with on the phone. I'm a suitable company to get a kick that what is wrong with these doctors? Some of them? I'll never go back there again. And I suggest you don't visit this place either.

I came for my first visit with " Doctor " Patel after suffering for two years. I've had 3 back surgeries in less than two years. I've done injections and physical therapy. This pain is debilitating. I've been an ICU RN for 24+ years. Of course my back would hurt at times. A little Tylenol and a heating pad and I would be good to go. This excruciating pain did not start until I had a flu shot that cause an autoimmune response. I've been struggling since that time. I never knew I had any structural issues with my back until all the imagine and testing done at that time. I still felt that the autoimmune response is what caused this to begin. Long story short .. neurologist said " it's your back .. it's your back ". I finally see neuro surgeon. Three back surgeries later and I am still unable to do much of anything. To say my life was ruin by a flu shot sounds ridiculous. This is my reality. My primary care physician is amazing. He has been with me every step of the way. We decided to try pain management to see what they could offer. The NP I saw was wonderful. Dr Patel was horrible. Walks in the room and states " I'll give you 2 5mg a day and nothing more." " you can see someone else if you don't like that ." Not a hello. How are you? Nothing. Absolutely zero compassion. I wasn't arguing him for more meds. I didn't even say anything. He also told me if I've had this pain for two years " it's never going to get better." I bawled like a baby. Why is he a pain management doctor?? To treat people who need help like that?? I'd rather eat glass shards and have explosive diarrhea after than ever see that " man" again. I will be calling CVS cancel anything he sent in for me. I'll suffer before I'm treated like that . Why? Why would a doctor even become a doctor if they don't care?? I want to find a way for my insurance not to pay him. He doesn't deserve one red cent for that visit. Oh and I was told I need the see a psychiatrist... really? That was the " help " I was offered. Almost forgot the Lyrica. Lyrica is an anticonvulsant. It was created to treat seizures 10/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I had my first visit with Dr Patel today September 19, coming from Midland pain n Neurology, who I just reported to the medical board, btw, n this guy basically judges me as a drug addict. He doesn't prescribe the high doses of narcotics im on and would basically do nerve blocks n when I said I was looking for both treatments he said he doesn't write for pain medication. Really? Then why are you in pain management and why recommend someone to go back to a Dr that they reported for just st leaving the Country n letting their Pt go into partial withdrawal? I say partial withdrawal because I should of ran out of my meds on the 8th of September, but instead of taking them 3 x a day, I took them only at night to make them stretch to not go into total withdrawal, which if I was an Addict Dr. Patel, I wouldn't be able to do that. You shouldn't judge someone by the medication they are on, especially when you haven't even reviewed medical records or even given me an examination. You have no idea the struggles I go thru daily to move. Your lack of compassion n coldness you showed me today was horrible..no wonder this office has such low reviews. I wouldn't be surprised if you've been reported to the medical board as well.
