Patient Testimonials
“I have been visiting the Duncan office for months now with what started as numbness in my legs that was causing me some mobility issues. I have degenerative scoliosis and sciatica. My condition has worsened to the point that many days I am in so much pain I can't even walk. My husband bought me a power wheelchair so I can at least get around in the house. I called the office in desperation begging to come in and get some help. I explained to the receptionist my situation and was told they could see me in a month. She never bothered to check with anyone else. Totally unconcerned and without any empathy. It doesn't matter how good the doctors may or may not be if you have to wait a month or more to see someone when you're already dealing with debilitating pain. UPDATE: The office scheduled me for an appointment on Jan. 20. I have called to cancel as I am seeking a second opinion . I've left a voicemail and a message on your portal. Does a live person ever answer the phone or even respond to a message?”

“I was seen in office July 3rd and was supposed to be referred for an MRI. My MRI referral was never put in, so I've called for 2 weeks straight with no call back.. Finally the order was sent but faxed to the wrong place, so now back to calling with no call back. I would love to know who office manager because I would love to speak to them. MRI finally got scheduled for August 26th and this office never sent the pre authorization from my insurance company so the appointment had to be rescheduled, so now I have to wait another month.”

“I've been a patient since March 2021 with no prior infractions & in one day I was discharged from the program, without any warning, without a re-test of any kind. I was given my regular drug test in January 2024, I went to the doctor a month later on February 27th, 24 and was told by PA- Turner that I failed my drug test in January. That my test showed I had no medication in my system. I tried to explain to him, that there was no way possible because I had just had a knee replacement surgery on January 8th, 24 & that my pre-op medication was Percocet 5mg I was taking along with my normal 10 mg Lortab. Then he told me that my pill count was short in September 2023, I told him that's when I was in the hospital for 4 days, my medication was at home and I had no supervision over it. PA-Turner told me that there was nothing else he could do and that he would not write my prescription for my pain medication anymore. I feel this was so unfair because he could have re-tested me, gave me a verbal warning. But no he choose to kick me out of the program. I know of previous patients of Carolina Spine & Pain who have failed drug test with street drugs in their system whose been retested, medication lowered, given warnings before being kicked outta the program. Then on Wednesday, I called and left a message for the office manager or Dr. O'Quinn to call me back so I could discuss this with them and to this day, Saturday, February 2nd, 24 neither of them has even returned my call. So unprofessional. I was prescribed narcotics by this facility and have been on them well.over 2years and I was kicked outta the program without the opportunity to find a new doctor, without a refill of my medication to carry me for the next month while I search for another doctor. All PA- Turner gave me was a 14 day supply that I can't pick up because the drug store is out of the medication. All the money this office has made from me being a patient, to just be thrown away like I'm nothing, is so unprofessional. I don't advise anyone to see PA-Turner and if you are his patient switch to someone else. He's rude and has no bedside manner. I should have stopped seeing him in September 2023 when he said my medication count was short. His actions have even left me without a doctor to treat my back issues. Living with daily chronic pain is hell and has diminished my quality of life, my daily medication helped me get outta bed every day to try to go on. Now I left without medication, without a pain doctor or a doctor for my back pain.”

“I never had a problem until they started making me see this one PA and I complained on two different occasions and they're still making me see him and will not allow me to see any other one that I have seen when I first started coming there, my husband doesn't want me going because they want let me see any other PA and it's not far or right. Then the lady at the front desk that checks you in never told me I had a copay for the whole four months 5 months I was coming so now I have an outstanding bill I explain this to the billing department and nothing was done. I don't understand never been treated like this before from any practice I've ever been”
