Patient Testimonials

My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Weilert & Dr. Peterson for almost a decade. We cannot complain about one visit the entire time. Their staff, PA's, and nurses are all amazing and caring. While Dr. Weilert may seem to have a curt bedside manner, his intelligence and experience outweigh any complaint. Without him we would have struggled for years. Thank you as well to Nancy. She has made phone calls and appointment settings without headaches with a smile in her voice always. They are all worth our thanks and review.

Dr. Weilert and the spinal ablations have been the thread that's kept me alive. My pain is mind numbing and medications hardly do anything to stop it anymore, and my injury is only getting worse because now it's causing other injuries and complications. So, I started getting the ablations about four years ago, and for my first appointment I went from being bent over 90deg in pain, only able to walk about five feet, to literally dancing out of the clinic and finding myself uncontrollably bawling later that evening- due to the JOY and EMOTIONAL RELIEF from the debilitating pain I've had the past two decades! Dr. Weilert's humor is quirky (I can see where it can be misunderstood sometimes at first) and he's very friendly, very competent, works swiftly, and is even good at passing the time with fun stories. The procedure isn't even very long, maybe 30 minutes at most. There are some places in my injury that the ablations can't reach, like at the very, very bottom of my spine (which is my main hotspot for pain, and unfortunately is right on the edge of where he can reach, but luckily he's usually able to just barely get the majority of it, which seems tricky and something I wonder if a less experienced doctor could even pull off) and what it does completely reach, which is the rest of my lower black & middle back, is literally saving my life. I just wish I'd known about or been TOLD by my old pain doctors about this, instead of only having gross amounts of opiates pushed on me... (which is now causing it's own extreme issues with dependancy, something that, although rare, is life threatening at my stage... it's rare because it only happens with a person on constant, consistent, long term, high-dose prescriptions- not a person using from the streets where their brain has had periods to detox off and on...) I did have an appointment in the beginning, where I was suddenly unsure if I wanted to stay, because one of the shots hit a bad nerve, and it hurt so bad I couldn't breathe for a few moments, and then I had a strange emotional-rollercoaster-effect following that evening... (? the nerve I guess) but once I calmed down and looked the common risks, I realized this can happen with even the most skilled and seasoned doctors, and is minor that sometimes comes with the territory... I was also totally fine by the next day; it just really rattled me. Every other time has been great. Since then, I've only come to be really grateful that I didn't change doctors, because now I always look forward to my visits, both because of how much I like Dr. Weilert (as well as his nurse, she's always been the sweetest and very attentive!) but also because of how much better I feel for months after! (It lasts about 5 months, and I get them twice a year)

My experience was mixed. Every single time I've called in I was met with a rude tone from reception. There is zero good customer service skills from those who handle the calls. I had to reschedule my appointment several times due to complications with another major surgery I had. I even explained that but was met with rudeness. I always had weeks advance notice too. Its not like my insurance isn't paying thousands for my treatment. But my at my initial consult. I was never advised I'd be getting the cervical spine injection at that appt. I was never informed that I would need a driver and to stop anything with a blood thinners a week prior. Dr. Weilert seemed to know what he was talking about in the consult. When I finally did come in for my cervical spine injection. I was the last appointment of the day and I could tell. He left the room immediately after injecting me. Where I finished up with his assistant. She was nice. But I also just felt super rushed. I felt horrible after. Light headed and did not feel well. Fast forward 3 weeks later. The injection has failed. It did nothing for my pain. Which can happen. But overall between the front desk staff and my experience when I called the clinic to being rushed. I wouldn't return.

Dr. Weilert was very easy to talk to and straight forward right from the get-go. He was very detailed in explaining everything about my conditions and what procedures he would do. He answered any questions I had honestly and didn't hold back. During the epidural injections he talked me through everything and asked if I was okay every minute. Best Dr I've seen in years and actually seemed to care about the patient!
