What Patients Say
Patient Testimonials
“The worst experience I've ever had with a doctor. Dr. Cohen has absolutely no empathy or concern for his patients. He tried to gaslight me by saying he had appealed my insurance denial and when confronted with the evidence he did not, he simply shrugged his shoulders. He also told me "I don't do MyChart and don't give out my phone number," when asked the best way to get him to communicate with me between appointments or when needing him to appeal using the peer to peer method with my insurance. He is condescending and uncaring. The nurse even told me to "run away. This is how he treats his patients." No one returns phone calls. Ever. I'm filing a formal complaint with the hospital, but needed to put this here too. Nursing staff is phenomenal. Front desk staff is a solid 3/10. And Cohen is reprehensible. Stay away.”

“It's Mighty Sad to see that what was once a very excellent inpatient Pain Management Treatment Program at Hopkins is no longer so highly regarded. When I was there years ago, the emphasis was on Pain Management and Severe Pain Reduction. Now it's possible that the program has been largely supplanted by , or hijacked by, Psychiatrists and psychiatric residents which are no substitute for the particular expertise of Physiatrists, Osteopathic Physicians and Anesthesiologists in.a clinical setting aiming to improve lives of pain sufferers. " Multidisciplinary " Medical teams sound and often are very impressive and helpful ; that is , if indeed they produce good outcomes. But if , for example , an " addiction " preoccupation overtakes a focus on Safe Lasting Relief in a program like this , patients will surely continue to Suffer.”

“Dr. Ooi and Dr. Limerick were both communicative and kind. I have found relief from the medication and nerve block I was given. They have been very empathetic and I'm glad to have doctors who care about my experience.”

“I've been suffering with chronic pain in my buttocks right hip and thigh for over 5 yrs. I found Dr. Sivanesan and Dr. Ooi who specializes in Arachnoiditis. Since seeing them I have been treated w more aggressive nerve medication, muscle relaxants and now after my trial w a Spinal Cord Stimulator which improved my symptoms a lot, I am going to have the SCS permanently installed. The whole team at this center is and has been very helpful at a desperate time.”
