“I told Dr. Henkle my body doesn't respond quickly or as effectively to numbing agents and that I would need a little more than usual and a little more time for it to take effect (EDS). He strapped me down to a table to give me a cortisone shot in my spine and insisted his normal procedure would be more than enough. I felt every inch of that long needle and was screaming throughout while he kept insisting that I was just reacting to the pressure. Afterwards the nurses wouldn't let me leave for quite a while because my blood pressure had gone from normal pre-procedure to dangerously high post procedure. I wonder why? When he checked in with me I again told him my experience and he said it was hard to believe and chalked it up to anxiety. He clearly does not take women's pain seriously. My insurance company also caught his office double-charging for a whole laundry list of different things. Avoid at all costs.”

“I have NEVER been treated so god awful by a physician! He clearly didn't even read my records as he stated three times how I need a rheumatologist to treat my illnesses. I told him each time I have one and he's the one who referred me. He told me my chronic pain isn't treated with pain management however I've had it in the past and my ra doctor said i should be getting them. He had a huge ego and no bedside manner! My entire visit with him was maybe 5 minutes and he shut me down every time I tried to say something! Sadly he owns the practice because unless the board of medicine which I was referred to shuts him down, he'll continue to treat patients like this. I only hope and pray he never gets struck with an illness that gives chronic pain and he may never be treated like he treats others! I drove over an hour because no one near me is taking on any new patients only to be treated so god awful! It wasn't the fact he refused treatment, I asked him what he'd recommend and he wouldn't answer, so again it wasn't the fact he refused treatment but how he spoke to me! He should be ashamed of his behavior and learn bedside manner. The fact I spoke with a patient advocate and she said she has a file of patients who've reported him spoke volumes! Don't go here! You'll regret it”
