“I am a 68-year-old man who was diagnosed with peripheral neuropathy in both feet of unclear origin. I am tall and thin, which may be relevant, and I experienced discomforting sensations of pins and needles in both feet, which disrupted my sleep. As an active runner, biker, and rower, I was deeply concerned about the potential long-term impact of this condition. Fortunately, I was referred to Drs. Patti Mullen and Kevin Polzin at the Bellevue Pain Institute. I underwent 16 NeoGen treatments (two per week), during which both feet were electrically stimulated to promote neuro-muscular growth. Additionally, I received local injections of B-12 and oral supplements to stimulate blood flow in my feet, along with neuromuscular re-education, which involved manual stimulation of various regions on my feet and legs. Although I was initially skeptical--being a brain scientist, I doubted that my symptoms could be reversed at my age--I am thrilled to report that, over the course of several months, my discomfort and pain completely disappeared!
