“First of all, let me say that Lisa is an excellent addition to Robert's (Dr. Bowers) already excellent team of Clinicians and Staff. To clarify, Lisa brings excellent communication skills and a wide array of knowledge to her position as a Nurse Practitioner. Unfortunately, I've dealt with over 100 doctors and such in my lifetime, as a person who suffers from severe chronic pain and other serious health conditions. So, I've seen excellence, such as like Lisa possesses, all the way to ineptitude and worse, such as those that don't even care about patients. Fortunately for you, (and me) she is top-notch. Another example of Lisa's outstanding care is in the way she conceptualizes her patients' medications. As a new staff person, she was not trying to reinvent the wheel and change up my medications that are working well for me. I'm even on a medication or two that have fallen out of favor at the state's Medical Commission and nationally. She was willing to dialogue with me about my vast experience with all of the different types of medication available in this specific class of medications. Thus, her active listening skills allowed her to understand that I was best served by continuing my current regimen of medications. It is very refreshing to see patient care put above the vicissitudes of what medications are currently most popular or in favor. This is a problem that was avoided that I've seen happen all too often throughout the decades of my treatment. Finally, like all of the folks at Bellevue Pain and Wellness, she is warm and friendly.
