Patient Testimonials
“I am writing to express my serious concerns regarding my experience during my recent two-day stay at Banner WMC, with the exception of the emergency room services. During my stay on medical floor I acutely began experiencing intense 9/10 pain wretching and vomiting blood, it took 30 minutes for a nurse to respond to my room after I called for assistance four times and explicitly stated to a CNA's, "I seriously need help now, I feel like I'm going to die." The hospitalist then ordered oral Tramadol, which was entirely inappropriate given my active vomiting. While my floor RN, Megan, was excellent and provided what care she could, she was limited by the lack of physician orders. I did not see a hospitalist once during my entire stay. Furthermore, the night staff was consistently disruptive, banging around, yelling, and speaking loudly while simply taking vitals, showing no consideration for patients sharing a room. Slamming doors in the halls, talking loudly all night. I even attempted to close our door 3 times to which my RN would leave open each time she left. The overall lack of consideration, common sense, and compassion I experienced on the medical floor was unacceptable and has significantly increased my concern for the well-being of patients under their care. I do, however, want to commend the emergency room staff for their outstanding work. Dr. Washut and the entire ER team did a fantastic job, and I sincerely thank them for their help.”

“I was transfered from another hospital needing a higher level of care. I was admitted to 6th floor. I came in under tremendous pain and at first it was like I was an inconvenience and not on top of my pain. That was the first day. 2nd day I had a wonderful nurse Allison and she advocated for me. When hospitalist wasn't responding to nurse concerning my pain Allison put patient care first and contacted the nursing director and Phillip the surgical director( I might be wrong on his position) and they took the time to come talk to me and let me know that I shouldn't have to be in this pain and I was well taken care of from that point on. I had some amazing nurses and cna's. I was in the hospital for over a week and transparent with my care. All the Dr's and nurses took very good care of me. The dietary had some issues, my food that I had ordered some came burnt, rude at times (a male) the food didn't look very appealing, eggs were runny and toast burnt nothing attractive about it. It came cool and drinks were lukewarm. Rad tecs were very informative and some inpatient. They figured out my diagnosis. So from my standpoint outside of first part of my stay I had very good care. Thank you.”

“I see a nephrologist for a kidney disease. I have had ongoing issues with this nurse Rosemary that feels the need to go discuss my plan with anyone but me, and then threaten to not treat me if I do not do all the testing. Now, I do have to complete one of the tests every month for my medication, ok fine. Then they tell me to do all these test, which I've never had to do as many times in entire lifetime. I've had my kidney disease when I was 5. She's on a power trip and I'm not happy with how she handles things. Also, she discussed my information with someone that isn't even a nurse. Not to mention they are always 30 mins late for my telehealth visits. Do yourself a favor and explore other option if possible before going to this office!”

“Honestly, I am terrified to go to this hospital to even have my child. I am currently still pregnant and have had the worst expierence with the last time I went in thinking I was in labor. I got all my symptoms completely dismissed and got treated like an inconvenience. I voiced all my concerns only to be ignored for over an hour and it had been at least 30 minutes of being in a room with consistent contractions and no one even came to hook me up to monitors or come take my urine sample that we were told to leave. We had to tell them repeatedly that my urine needed to still be processed due to some of my symptoms only for the night nurse to come in and throw my sample in the trash and discharge us without even running the sample. Then I got a phonecall a couple days ago asking for a payment upfront for the delivery even though we have already paid 1300$ cash out of pocket for my delivery plan as well as having excellent insurance. I am max out of pocket for insurance and they told me I needed to render a payment of 1000$ or more towards a bill that hasn't even happened yet considering IM STILL PREGNANT! I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone. Im tired of the greed and not being treated like a patient and instead another paycheck in their pocket when everyone is already struggling to survive.”
